Jeff Sharpe Is "Focused" on ARC; ARC Collective Yawns

So looks like there's some tension within the Northern Guard. Accusations of backstabbing, egos, and at least on member of the leadership stepping down today. More on that in a future article as we get more details.

It really has been some time since ARC has even mentioned Jeff Sharpe, founder of both the Canadian Coalition for Responsible Government and the Alberta Citizens Coalition. Last time ARC spoke about him in detail was in relation to some difficulties he was having with Joey Deluca and the Worldwide Coalition Against Islam (WCAI). Those difficulties were refereed to by Bernard "The Roughneck" Hancock who spoke at the June 3, 2017 event in Edmonton:

Truth be told I had forgotten all about this video, however a little over a week ago I received an update that someone had commented on the video:

One of the trends I've noticed is an increasing number of the "free speech or die" anti-Muslim/anti-immigrant "patriots" covered on ARC are especially intolerant of speech that opposes them personally. They also have no actual understanding of the law and believe that their threats are enough to result in this writer backing down; here's a hint as to how that is going for them:

"Go fuck yourselves with a long, cold, rusty, rebar."

Hmmm, I hope that isn't too subtle.

Anyways as another example, when ARC first started covering the Northern Guard, the following was one of the messages that was received:

These were from Northern Guard founder and president Nick Gallant (I could tell, in part, because of the clarity and precision of his writing). I'll probably make a post about this eventually, though given the shake-up in the Northern Guard related to a very public departure by Eric Brazeau, he likely has other things on his mind at the moment.

Back to Jeff (he confirms his name next), he provides an explanation as to why he believe this little spot in a remote corner of the Internet has dun him wrong:

Ah. Okay then.

Let's deal with the last statement first.

The following was taken from Jeff Sharpe's own Facebook profile yesterday:

March 30, 2019 Racist Rally in Edmonton Part II: Counter-Protester Assaulted and Soldier of Odin Member Taken Into Custody

Much like Vancouver and Toronto, it looked like the most recent Worldwide Coalition Against Islam (WCAI) event in Edmonton would yet again fail to feature anyone actually associated with the WCAI. Certainly some of the Canadian Combat Coalition members back in Ontario appeared to be rather frustrated by yet another no-show:

However while ARC initially reported that the racist rally organized by Joey Deluca of the WCAI with participation of groups such as the Soldiers of Odin, Northern Guard, and Canadian Combat Coalition failed to launch, it turns out that they were waiting until they thought there wouldn't be anyone there to spoil their fun:

Ah, there's the casual racism and threats of violence that we've come to expect from Joey.

Later in the video, cut off because Dubois' batter died, Deluca continued his racist anti-immigrant missive referring to immigrants from developing countries as "sewage" and further dehumanizing rhetoric:

Now this sort of turns out to be rather awkward considering Deluca's association with the reactionary Yellow Vest movement in Canada and their claims to being opposed to racism and in favor of legal immigration:

Readers will also remember this video published by ARC on March 16:

ARC has written extensively about Jeff Sharpe in the past. According to our friends in Edmonton, he is currently involved in a power struggle to control the Yellow Vests in Edmonton:

He was also involved in promoting the Yellow Vest event that was swamped by counter-protesters earlier today:

Well isn't it funny that Jeff Sharpe who claims that racism isn't a part of the Yellow Vest protests is present with racist Joey Deluca and the WCAI as well as the Soldiers of Odin, CCC, and Northern Guard:

International bankers eh?

Dude, aren't you even going to bother trying not to sound antisemitic?

Now, the racists, antisemites, and Islamophobes did discuss the earlier counter-rally and though they attempt to make fun of them with the tired, "mom's basement" and "they had to take mass transit" (which is something many of their supporters likely rely on in major cities so not much of an insult) it is clear they were rattled:

The remainder of the video was devoted to highlighting some of the people who attended including Win Nay, misogynist Adam Stevenson of Onward Christian Soldiers, and a few Northern Guard and Nouns of Odin, one of whom was very proud that his SoO chapter was "Finland approved" which again might be a bit problematic considering the Finnish parent club was started by an overt neo-Nazi:

With knowledge that the bigots would be returning to the legislature, anti-fascists in the city oraganized on pretty short notice and managed to counter the boneheads in numbers that were at first smaller but looked to be growing as more became aware of what was happening:

In the end it was more of a cameo as they spent between 15 minutes and half an hour at the legislature and left before their numbers could again be swamped by counter-protesters:

I'm sure that they will.

Dubois posted a video (must have found a charger) in which he speaks about how clever they are:

Now, while the boneheads were chased off, they did find time to assault some of the counter-protesters:

I did see two clips of members of the Northern Guard and Soldiers of Odin shouting homophobic slurs and threats at counter-protesters whom they encountered followed by the assault. There will be more on that, but though more than one bonehead was involved, only one Noun of Odin was taken into custody; I'm not sure if he was arrested or released later.

In any case, I would urge anyone who can to head to the Edmonton legislature tomorrow with the awareness that you might have to move to other locations as the boneheads try to avoid being opposed.

Infighting Amongst Canadian Islamophobes: Part 6 - WCAI and ACC Continue to Attack Each Other

It doesn't appear to an end in sight in the ongoing fight between two Canadian Islamophobic groups based out of Alberta. The last article ARC published included the screen shots of an hours long argument over a planned rally in Edmonton organized by Alberta Citizen's Council. Members of the ACC were adamant that an even more extreme hate group, WCAI Canada, not promote the event since the WCAI's overt hatred of Muslims diminished the respectability of the ACC organized event.

And fyi, the ACC aren't any less Islamophobic as evidenced by the posts made by the head of the group. They just want to keep that part of the group on the down-low for the duration of the Edmonton event in order to attract those, "legit big time speakers" who might otherwise shy away.

Long story, short, Deluca and his WCAI as well as their allied group the Canadian Combat Coalition decided to pull out of Edmonton and instead participate in a Calgary rally, which would then result in two Alberta-based protests.

However, if Deluca had it his way, he and his wounded ego would very much like the Edmonton event to fail, a sentiment expressed in the video that was also published on the previous article after the argument had run it's course:

Anti-Yellow Vest Protest in Edmonton: Counter Protester From the Clann Hate Group Arrested

At the Alberta Legislature an anti-Yellow Vests protest took place calling the movement out on their ties to overt racists and racist groups such as the Nouns of Odin, Northern Guard, and other hate groups. In response, the Yellow Vesters counter-protested.... along side the Nouns of Odin, Northern Guard, and other hate groups:

So.... thank you for proving the point I guess?

Journalist Carly Robinson reported on the event:

As a bit of an aside, it is a bit galling to hear Jeff Sharpe claim that the there are no Yellow Vesters who are racists given his own history associating with groups such as the Worldwide Coalition against Islam and the Canadian Combat Coalition.

In any case, an interesting incident occurred during the protest.

One of the Clann members was arrested, evidently on outstanding warrants:

Ms. Robinson witnessed the arrest and included a photo in her Tweet:

ARC readers will recognize the man being led away in handcuffs as the man in the following photograph alongside Clann leader Tyson Hunt attending a United Conservative Party event in October 2018:

Anti-Muslim Protest Permit Revoked in Grand Prairie; Another Planned For Edmonton

We had been hearing about plans for an anti-Muslim rally to be held in Grand Prairie, AB tomorrow, however it seems that they have hit a wee bit of a snag:

And while they blame "antifa", Trudeau, communists, George Soros, and the boogyman hiding under their beds, it looks like it might have been the groups' involved own extremist views that caused the government of the community to reconsider the wisdom of issuing a permit:

Soldiers of Odin Edmonton Stunt Fizzles

Today was the day the Soldiers of Odin, the Northern Guard, and what I have to regard as a far-right Christian pseudo-militia Onward Christian Soldier planned on showing up in front of the Mustard Seed church in Edmonton to co-opt their good name and to pretend to be charitable.

I was genuinely wondering if the Soldiers of Odin would actually make an appearance; the Northern Guard and Onward Christian Soldiers no-showed. (SEPTEMBER 5 UPDATE: Evidently two members of the Onward Christian Soldiers pseudo-militia did make an appearance, leader Adam Stevenson and member Win Nay). Based observations by an eyewitness when all was said and done there were roughly 80 counter-protesters compared to "two confirmed proud boys, a black rifle coffee shop dude, and maybe 10-15 soldiers." When asked if they actually brought anything to provide the homeless, the person I spoke to suggested there appeared to be a pot in the back of one of the SoO member's truck and they had some granola bars.

Jeremy Thompson of CTV was on the scene:

When asked about those who arrived to counter-protest, I was told the following:
We were grassroots, just members of the community, and we told those Nazi punks to fuck off. So there's no group to claim credit or anything. We're just everyday folks that recognize that homelessness isn't a problem solved by racist vigilantism.
One of ARC's friends, Siobhan O'Leary, was also present. Let's see if we can help to identify some of the people whose photo was taken:

Old Is New Again: Some Members of Far-Right Attempt To Have Ideological Opponents, Media, and Politicians Jailed

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the "apex" of far-right "patriot" journalism in Canada:

Yep, this is a clip of a drunken Rick Boswick, Derek Storie, and Corey/Kory.... Something-or-Other (I genuinely can't be bothered to look up his last name) defaming a journalist who has already been assaulted by the far-right, complaining about the violence they claim to be subjected to, and talking about bringing paintball guns loaded with glass marbles to shoot at counter-protesters.

Not a good look gentlemen. Not a good look at all.

In any case, the boys here have been rather busy. On weekends they organize Poorly attended Yellow Vest protests on an overpass outside Toronto. They also found themselves the focus of a national news story when, in their Yellow Vest attire, they heckled PM Justin Trudeau and Toronto mayor John Tory during a news conference concerning affordable housing:

As a bit of an aside, I'm not sure complaining about being called white supremacists then going ton to complain about minorities and the persecution of white people (in addition to the New World Order conspiracy theories) really help your case much:

However, the Pegida protest in Toronto on March 23 is what has Boswick and Storie all riled up, especially this tweet from John Tory:

It should be noted that the Pegida Canada rally came hot on the heels of the murder of 50 Muslim worshipers in Christchurch, New Zealand. A couple of days prior to the Pegida Canada rally in Toronto, Faith Goldy and her drones appeared at an anti-racism rally and memorial for the Christchurch victims intent on antagonizing the attendees; Bowswick and Storie came after Goldy's group left.

In fact, both the Pegida Canada rally and the harassment of the memorial were discussed when Goldy interviewed both Boswick and Storie.

Before I post this though, a brief open letter to Faith Goldy.

Hi Faith. May I call you Faith?
You and I need to talk about life choices.
For example, you went from someone who interviewed the now leader of Her Majesty's Official Opposition and, perhaps, future Prime Minister of Canada to being kicked off most social media platforms as a white nationalist and interviewing two unemployed drifters during one of their moments of sobriety while they ranted on about New World Order conspiracy theories.
In the dark hours of the evening, and you experience the Dark Night of the Soul when you can't sleep and find yourself staring at the ceiling, do you ever wonder where it all went wrong Faith?

Boswick and Storie present a narrative of the Pegida members being the victims of unprovoked attacks on March 23. While it certainly was a raucous event with Pegida members outnumbered by 10 to 1, the story isn't really quite as clear cut as the two make it out to be:

Still, this particular bug has really gotten up their butts.

In the they posted where they are heckling Trudeau and Tory, you probably heard Boswick, Storie, or both talking about some sort of legal challenge. They discuss it in slightly more detail at one point:

That's right. They think they can prosecute Tory for a tweet and destroy "antifa" because.... freedom I guess:

Reactionary Yellow Vests Supporter Arrested: Numerous Weapons Charges

Back on January 28, an off-duty RCMP officer heard a man calling for a lost dog. When he tried to help the man whose name is Tony Green, this happened:
When the officer attempted to help the man locate his dog, Green allegedly pulled out a pistol and pointed it at him.
The officer then removed himself from the situation, called 911, and responding Mounties quickly arrested Green. A handgun and ammunition were seized from the car he was driving.
Not exactly the best way to make friends and influence people.

Green faces six charges including, "pointing a firearm, possession dangerous to public, carrying a concealed weapon and unauthorized possession." He also amassed a considerable arsenal in his home as well:
RCMP on Vancouver Island have seized more than 100 firearms after executing a search warrant in Campbell River.....That night, police began what turned into a four-day search of Green’s property, in which they seized three full pick-up truckloads of guns, ammunition and prohibited devices.
Police said the search was temporarily delayed when explosive materials were found and a disposal unit was called to the scene.
“More than 100 guns, handguns, shotguns and assault-style rifles were seized. Many were prohibited firearms such as a WWII Bren machine gun with a tripod,” said an RCMP media release.
“Investigators also located what can be described as homemade silencers, zip guns, prohibited over capacity magazines and untraceable firearms.”
Well it turns out that Mr. Green is someone who happens to be ideologically aligned with the reactionary Yellow Vest movement in the country:

And yeah, he is very pro-gun....

.... and very anti-government:

In one example on his Facebook profile, Green shares an image originally posted by the new head of the III% militia which appears to attempt to provide justification for the violent overthrow of a democratically elected government:

Considering he appears to have ties to the reactionary Yellow Vesters which has been documented (primarily by the incredible Yellow Vests Canada Exposed) as having supporters who routinely threaten and advocate for the death of the prime minister as well as at least tacit support for the III% militia, I can't help be a bit concerned about heavily armed individuals being among their members, especially when they are already prone to far-right paranoid conspiracy theories:

And, not surprising, he is also found in the web connections between people covered on the blog including Ronny Cameron, Jeff Sharpe, Sandra Solomon, Adam Stevenson, Georges Hallack, Georges Massaad, Darren Tibbo (WCAI member), Dan Dubois, Lynn Redden, Brad Salzburg, and Kevin Johnston among others:

I wonder if anyone associated with the Yellow Vests convoy to Ottawa plans on being armed to the teeth as well?

Conflicting Ottawa Convoy Commitments Create Controversy

In following the reactionary Yellow Vests protests in Canada, there has already been a great deal of factionalism within that movement.

Now there's trouble between adjacent movements:

Now Bernard Hancock (who has blocked ARC's Twitter account even though I have never been in contact with him via that means) has a hate on for the reactionary Yellow Vesters even though he kind of, sort of, ran in the same crowd for some time; he was at an event organized by the Worldwide Coalition Against Islam in Calgary and an event hosted by Jeff Sharpe in Edmonton. That said I can't necessarily argue with him regarding the absolute embarrassment that the reactionary Yellow Vesters really are. However I wonder if he would even pay attention to them if not for the fact there is a Yellow Vests Canada convoy to Ottawa that is competing with the one that Hancock in involved with. Moreover, the Yellow Vests convoy Go Fund Me has already raised substantially more (in the $60,000 range) than the "official" convoy to Ottawa rally Hancock has raised (around $11,000 last time I checked).

Bernard isn't pleased:

The link to the article Hancock posted can be found here.

More from this thread:

This has resulted in a rather robust discussion:

Now I can't say one way or another whether or not Hancock's suggestions are accurate, but it isn't as if this would be the first time someone involved in the reactionary Yellow Vests protest was proven to be dishonest.

For example, Tyler Malenfant, the founder and administrator of the biggest reactionary Yellow Vests social media site, is once again claiming that the antisemitic and racist rhetoric he posted online in 2015 which ARC covered then wasn't him even though it was CLEARLY him. His lies are especially transparent in the "Edmonton Star" article published Friday that focused on extremism within the reactionary Yellow Vests movement:
The Yellow Vests Canada Facebook page lists a “Tyler Malenfant” as its administrator. The same Facebook profile was used to post comments on an Al Jazeera news article about a Jewish conspiracy to “destroy” Christianity and replace North America’s white majority through a concerted effort of mass migration.
When asked about his comments on the news article, the user of the profile deleted the comments and denied they ever existed. The user said the screenshots StarMetro took were fake.
I'll get back to this article in a moment, but recently I received a number of screen shots from the group Malenfant administers that I'd like to share:

WCAI: The Little Engine That Couldn't

In ARC's most recent article about the WCAI's seemingly futile efforts to get their MEGA Patriot Rally off the ground, we posted a video of Sandra Solomon and Jeff Sharpe confronting Stephen Garvey at the March For Jesus event in Calgary. Joey DeLuca of the WCAI was on the other end of the video which is why is was so poorly produced. There is however another video of the confrontation that began before DeLuca began filming in which a rather unhinged Solomon laments that Garvey, "ruined the whole event" by his actions:

In another video, snippets of which will be published in this article later featurs Joey DeLuca complaining bitterly about being betrayed while he was trying to deceive the city. You see, DeLuca admits the whole "Anti-Racism Festival" organized under the National Advancement Party of Canada label was a "front" for his anti-Muslim rally. ARC and those I'm working with already knew the Garvey event was a front, but it is nice that DeLuca so readily admitted that WCAI practice taqiyya (hey, if the Islamophobes are going to accuse Muslims of lying, or practicing "taqiyya" I might as well apply their own label when it applies so readily to the Islamophobes).

But just when everything looked so bleak, a miracle occurred and the anti-Muslim, Mega Patriot Unity Rally was back on track, albeit a day later:

His friends in the Canadian Combat Coalition and the Cultural Action Party were a little confused though about the location, believing that Olympic Park and Olympic Plaza were one in the same. Still, A for effort champs!

They eventually got the location correct, and boy oh boy, was Ryan Dean enthusiastic about promoting it!

Now, those who have stuck with this story from the start are probably wondering how it is that the WCAI, who had been denied a permit to hold their little hate festival in Olympic Plaza when they had first applied for it back in April, were now claiming to have a permit for the public space now:

Simple.

Yet another cover:

The pastor with the Calgary Street Church was one of the speakers at the WCAI protest at Calgary City Hall on June 3. The group is also not unknown to the folks at City Hall either.

Tickled pink that believed that they had somehow managed to pull this off, oh ladies and gentlemen! You could cut the smug with a knife:

Well Ryan is right. I didn't have an article prepared discussing the new time and location.... probably because I, along with anti-fascists in Calgary, was working on making sure that it didn't happen.

Surprise!
