And the Winner Is.....

So it would seem that my substitute writer offered a $50.00 cash prize to the winner of the Paulie election banner contest. And as a result I am on the hook.

And that is absolutely fine with me.

It just so happens that ARC knows the individual who created this particular banner. If she would kindly send us an email so we could send the money, we will be getting that out asap.

Election Night in Ontario...

Or, perhaps better put, yet another night of futility and frustration.

Now while the rest of the country will be focused on the mayoral race in Toronto and specifically who among the big three with take the top job (our money is on Tory, though we still hold out hope for Chow), we here at the Collective have a much more modest mandate.

We're going to look at a few races where some of the boneheads we cover here are running.

We begin with former Canadian Nazi leader John Beattie who is running for the position of Deputy Reeve in Minden. We aren't very familiar with voting practices in rural Ontario, but we are going to suggest that Beattie will receive less than 40 votes total.

Moving on to Toronto there are a few candidates running.

Don Andrews is again running for mayor. Based on his previous total and because of the high profile for this election, we are going to guess he takes about 1300 votes.

At the ward level, we are making the following predictions:

Neo-nazi and convicted murderer Christopher Brosky in Ward 28: 150 - 200
Long-time Andrews supporter and Nationalist Party member Bob Smith in Ward 31: 200 - 250
James Sears aka "Dimitri the Lover" (lost medical licence for sexual misconduct, misogynist, and anti-Semite) in Ward 32: 450 - 500 (mostly because of name recognition)

The big one though from our point of view is Paulie running for money.... er.... I mean mayor in Mississauga. He ran in 2010 and took 917 votes (or 0.65%). We're going to predict that he will score around the same, though given the long time incumbent isn't running this year, there may be more of an interest driving up the number of voters. We'll say he breaks a thousand and finishes at 1050.

Time will tell, though we will have fun watching the results. We generally suck at making these kinds of predictions so take what is written with a healthy grain of salt.

UPDATE 1: Don't underestimate the power of name recognition. James Sears is currently at 538 after 27 of 33 polls.

Chris Brosky is also doing better than our estimate sitting at 248 after 56 of 65 polls.

Others seem to be under performing at this point though and there are no results yet for Minden.

UPDATE 2: Sears is currently at 686 with 2 of 33 polls remaining. Brosky has managed 316 with 3 of 65 polls outstanding. It looks like Smith might end around 250 as he is currently at 24 with a single poll remaining. Andrews is at 953 and doesn't look like he'll reach 1300 at this point.

Fromm is currently at 511 with 346 of 416 polls reporting. Doesn't look like he's going to hit 1000 and his percentage of the total vote is 0.5%, lower than 2010.

Nothing on Beattie, though I'm guessing that once there is a result, the final outcome will be quick.

UPDATE 3: Sears finishes with 797 votes, more than we had guessed, though given he claimed to be ahead in the polls, scoring 3.08% to the winner's 60.916% doesn't even count as a moral victory. Smith finishes with 256 votes, so we did a decent job of predicting at least one election (we did sort of imply that we sucked at this). Brosky 325 votes (or 1.383% of the total in Ward 28).

Fromm doesn't look like he'll be breaking 1000 and is not, as he had claimed, competitive in the race (shocking, we know). Andrews might also struggle to break 1000 votes. Still waiting on Minden, though that looks to be any time this hour now.

UPDATE 4: Looks like Don Andrews might not even reach the vote tally from 2010. With 1 polling station remaining, he has 1012 votes. And Fromm also looks like he might only barely break 800(correction: he might not break 800).

Finally a result in the Minden race. The incumbent has been re-elected. Nothing about Beattie's vote tally, but we suspect the word minuscule might be appropriate.

UPDATE 5: Last update. Results in Minden has Beattie taking 214 out of 4564 total votes. We were not certain how many people would vote in the election (we thought perhaps 1000 or 2000) but were off significantly there. In total, Beattie received 4.6% of the vote, not quite the win he had anticipated.

In the Toronto and Mississauga mayoral election, we over-estimated what Andrews and Fromm would receive. Andrews tallied 1012 votes and Fromm 775, both less than what they received in 2010 despite a higher voter turn out.

Reaction to the Tragedies in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu and Ottawa

Well I'm back.

Did I miss anything?

There are a lot of stories I would like to get to eventually. For example I've been digging up some information on a Winnipeg misanthrope posting on Stormfront as "vikingwarlord14" named Jonathan (and trust us when we note that the online moniker is yet another example of a delusion of grandeur). And god knows that Paulie's photos deserve more attention. Well, that's a poor choice of words. Dear god! Even when this writer takes some time off I'm subjected to a horror that so living soul should be subjected to. Paul Fromm. In a leather bondage thong. That's an image that, once seen, can never be unseen.

But I really think I would remiss if I didn't first make mention of the tragedies of the past week in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu and Ottawa.

I'm not going to belabor the basics that we all already know, though I will provide a brief background. Patrice Vincent and Nathan Cirillo were murdered in two distinct attacks. The two accused, also dead, were Canadian-born recent converts to Islam who have been described as having been radicalized. Neither man appears to have known the other and the second attack in Ottawa appears to have been a copycat attack inspired by the events in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu. At least one of the men had a long, troubled, history before his conversion to Islam and had been tossed out of a mosque as a result of his extremist views. The other had attempted to travel to Turkey in order to hook up with ISIS (a particularly evil, fascistic, Islamic movement in Syria and Iraq responsible for countless atrocities) but was prevented from doing so by the authorities; numerous people, including his parents and Imam, tried to steer him away from radical views but were sadly not successful. Both men may or may not have been inspired by ISIS' call for those supporting them to engage in attacks on targets overseas, though it appears likely there was no direct connection. Both may or may not have been mentally ill.

Since the attacks, Muslim Canadians have denounced the murders loudly and unambiguously:

Winnipeg Muslims condemn soldier attacks, fear backlash

Canadian Muslim group calls Ottawa attacks ‘repulsive’

Ottawa shooting: Canadian Muslims denounce attacks

While condemning the murder of Vincent and Cirillo is admirable, one might be troubled by what appears to be the assigning of group guilt to Muslim-Canadians. If there was not a condemnation of the attacks by Muslims, they would be accused of secretly supporting those attacks. I can't recall Roman Catholics in Canada being required to condemn the actions of the IRA, for example, or be suspected of implicitly supporting sectarian violence in Ireland.

But regardless of how many times our fellow Canadians denounce violence carried out by extremists, there seem to be those who will ignore those denunciations and still tar all Muslims as extremists, as our friend Ed Kennedy (formerly of the currently defunct Free Dominion) proves once again:

Not surprisingly, the boneheads we cover here on the blog also jumped into the mix. The irony of some of their comments given some of their criminal backgrounds (keep in mind that "Freedom Fighter" is Kyle McKee) appears lost on them:

Wow.....

So, we received an email at the ARC email account today. Given the subsequent emails we have received it appears we are not the only ones who received it. That email contained some photographs and a message.

We're going to get some legal advice regarding whether or not we can post the photos here. One way or another, we have to suspect that Paulie is having a really, really, really, bad day.

This is NOT Paul Fromm's Wife!
Paul Fromm is an adulterer
Adulterers be DAMNED!

"But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” - Rev. 21:8

UPDATE: We still need to see if we can publish the photos (we don't know their provenience) but we figured we would describe them since our readers should squirm with discomfort as much as we did.

Imagine Fromm in what appears to be a skimpy leather brief with a zipper in front standing next to a woman (not his wife) wearing an ill-fitting and very skimpy front thong. She is also wearing a necklace with a swastika pendant.

That is one of the photos. The second is pretty much more of the same.

Nosferatu200 Will Be Back Soon

While it has been fun being the regular writer for the blog, I always knew my tenure was to have been brief. Soon I will revert to merely providing the occasional article which might be a welcome relief to some of the regular readers.

It seems that Nosferatu200 has complete her final leg of retracing the Silk Road from Xiang to Kashgar and will be returning in the next few days.

Things I've learned as a regular writer?

1. I'm not as funny as I thought I was.
2. Writing regularly is hard, especially when one has the attention span of a fruit fly (what I'm saying it I occasionally become detracted by shiny objects and multi-colored lights).

I've been told by Nos that despite her absence, she has been collecting information which will find it's way to the blog soon.

October 2014 Bits and Bites: Thanksgiving Edition

As today is a day where people will be getting together to spend time with their loved ones, we thought we would give some attention to those bonehead, who will be spending this day alone, perhaps eating a can of corned beef over the sink while blaming the Jews for their social isolation.

Our first lonely shut-in is Tomasz Winnicki of London who has been mentioned on a number of occasions on this blog.Truth be told, we think he likes the attention since he frequently tries to get our attention. His efforts are usually for naught and that sort of frustrates him a little bit, however we do throw him a bone sometimes. For example, here is one of his comments concerning our posts on the Southern Ontario "Skinheads":

Yeah, in case it's unclear Tomasz is suggesting that he is the worthy opponent we should be engaging. Have we mentioned that he has a very high opinion of his intellect?

Okay, will give you a shot Tom. Call it an audition for the position of our foil. We'll take a look at one of the comments you made on "The London Free Press" concerning the recent election in Sweden to determine if you are a worthy opponent:

Terry Tremaine Now Serving Contempt Sentence

As one of our readers pointed out, Terry Tremaine isn't serving time because of hate speech posted online. He's serving time for contempt, something our friend and frequent, frustrated, reader Tomasz Winnicki is himself intimately aware of.

That fact hasn't stopped Fromm from engaging in a bit of online histrionics:

Uh, no Andrew Heck. All Canadians don't eventually end up in jail. Thanks for playing though.

One thing we find a little curious though is the date in which Tremaine was locked up:

You mean to tell us that Fromm, he who claims to speak for poor, maligned, boneheads, that he couldn't be bothered to update his followers on Terry Tremaine's status for almost 2 weeks?

Well, Fromm is a busy man. We're sure that he had more important things that he was preoccupied with at the time:

National Policy Institute Conference Shut Down in Budapest: Paulie Squeals Angrily

Racist groups that try to present themselves as more than bonehead thugs like to give themselves what they consider to be respectable names. The National Policy Institute (NPI) is one such group of
boneheads in suits, though the NPI are a little more ambitious than most. For example, this month the NPI organized a conference in Budapest, Hungary. Given the growing influence of Jobbik and the increasing attacks on Roma and Jewish Hungarians, perhaps it made sense for the organizers of the event to choose the Hungarian capital. Certainly, it seems that Jobbik were happy to see the arrival of mostly American white nationalists, as well as Canada's own Paul Fromm. The Hungarian government, however, decided that they really didn't want a bunch of racist foreign nationals entering their country and banned the conference (though the racist political party Jobbik insisted the NPI wasn't racist, so there's that for an endorsement).

Considering a position of the NPI is that foreign nationals from non-European nations should not be permitted to enter Europe or North America, the director of the organization Richard Spencer grudgingly accepted the decision of the Hungarian government and, as a foreign national himself, decided to call off the conference and his own flight to the country.

Right? Because it would be pretty hypocritical if he decided that he, a foreign national, would try to enter a country where he and his group was not welcome.

Yeah, you know where this is going.

Long story short not before the conference began Hungarian police arrived and shut things down, detaining a number of the white nationalist attendees as well.

But like a greased little piggy, Paulie seemed to have slipped through the dragnet:
