May 2019 Bits and Bites: Michele Tittler, the III%ers, Northern Guard and Robert Jones, and More

This is going to be long and disjointed. I'm also going to miss a lot of stories others are covering. Still, I thought it appropriate to provide a brief summary of what is happening on the far-right during the latter month of May. For starters, this happened:

I'm not holding my breath that anything will actually happen, but I may very well be surprised.

Anyways....

Ronny Cameron and Richard Spencer: The Thrill Is Gone

ARC hasn't published much about Ronny Cameron in some time, mainly because there hasn't been much to write about. Oh, he's still the same jackass he's always been, but he hasn't exactly been doing much. He's still putting out the occasional videos which rehash the same tired racist tropes he's been talking about for the better part of a year as well continuing to claim the title of the most important alt-right figure in Canada which, even if true, has about as much distinction as me claiming to be the mayor of the cardboard box town I created when I was six; the two other citizens of Awesomeville eventually voted me out of office due to a scandal involving an ice cream sunday bar at a sleepover.

In short Ronny, always profoundly derivative already, is really boring.

The one "big" announcement he made occurred last month when he was proud to post that he was co-hosting a podcast with the spiritual founder of the alt-right, Richard Spencer:

I made sure to include a post featuring your buddy Robert, Meir. ;)

That Spencer would deign to co-host a podcast with someone as insignificant as Cameron says far more about the decline of Spencer's fortunes than it does Cameron's significance, but it was obvious that Ronny thought this was his big break.... or something. He was so pleased to be Renfield to Spencer's Dracula that he willingly allowed himself to be completely emasculated and humiliated in his defence of Spencer:

It.... went down hill from there.

Still, later in the video Ronny said that the name calling didn't bother him because he had thick skin. On the eve of the new year crowed about the joy of being Ronny Cameron, super influencer for the alt-right!

Well that is just lovely! He is just so darn optimistic about 2019 it is almost adorable!

Yeah. If you're a long time reader, you already know where this is going:

Now Ronny wasn't entirely clear about what resulted in what is his most recent public meltdown, but at least one person commenting had an idea:

Well no, Cameron isn't Jewish, but it did soon become clear who his anger was directed towards.

It probably didn't help his mood that the person who humiliated him on the podcast chimed in as well:

I offer the remainder of the posts without commentary:

Yep. Thick skin indeed.

Ronny?

Baby?

This is dedicated to you.

Reactionary Yellow Vest Protesters Feeling Heat

It has been a while since ARC has discussed the seemingly marginally employed transient Steven Myatt, and I don't plan on going into a lot of detail. He's now living in Calgary and has unsurprisingly hooked up with local extremists, including the reactionary Yellow Vest protesters. Yesterday he posted the following urgent declaration:

Scared? Well, perhaps but not exactly in the way that he might want to believe.

The Yellow Vesters have been the subject of numerous stories in the media of late focusing on the racism of much of the membership as well as the calls to violence:

Here are a few of the more tepid examples:

I could post a lot more, but I really think readers should (if they haven't already) check out Yellow Vests Canada Exposed which has been doing an incredible job of cataloging the ugliness from the various Yellow Vests Facebook groups that have sprung up in the country:

They certainly have the bad guys spooked:

In any case getting back to Myatt, the reaction was as one would have expected:

Far-right Canadian Yellow Vest Reactionaries - Promoters of Violence and Conspiracy Theories, Already At Each Others' Throats

As they did last week when they unoriginally co-opted the French Yellow Vest protests (Mouvement des gilets jaunes), the far-right reactionaries organized another Saturday of protests in a number of Canadian cities. In most cases the numbers were down significantly from the previous Saturday (and even then outside Ottawa, Calgary, and Edmonton they weren't much to speak of). However Calgary and Edmonton still appear to have numbered in the 100s.... though even this is a bit of conjecture since many law enforcement officers were also wearing yellow safety vests:

At least some of the co-ordination for these protests is occurring on Yellow Vests Canada.

Currently there are roughly 65,000 members of the group, though I suspect that most of those who were added, like those in the past who had been added to the WCAI group, aren't really aware of what the group is about since members could add others fairly indiscriminately. Also, before making it a closed group, there were quite a few people taking the "true believers" to task:

Tyler Malenfant is the founder and administrator of this and a few other Yellow Vest Facebook groups. It might be of interest then to ARC readers to note that Malenfant is someone who has appeared on the blog back in December 2015 in relation to his apparent connection to Students For Western Civilization, something that a number of readers noticed even before I did:

Malenfant eventually responded and his explanation for his racist and antisemitic posts is absolutely hilarious:

Malenfant claims the screen shots of his posts are fake, which suggests he expects people to believe that ARC posted fake screen shots in December 2015 knowing that in November 2018 massive protests would occur in France resulting in Canadian far-right supporters co-opting the imagery of said protests in December 2018 and that Malenfant would become an organizer in this astroturf movement... all in an effort to discredit him.

Sure or, and stay with me on this, might a simpler explanation be that Malenfant posted racist and antisemetic comments three years ago and now he's desperate to try and explain them away even though one can still see many of these posts online?

I mean, either/or, right?

Anti-Migrant Protests: Maxime Bernier No-Shows in Ottawa and Brief Notes on Other Protests

Last month we saw Faith Goldy and roughly 40 alt-right (including ID Canada) supporters hold a protest opposing Canada signing the UN Migration Compact. Today in Ottawa was another anti-migrant rally which also features a whose who of racist and Islamophobic groups including La Meute, Storm Alliance, III% militia, Northern Guard and speakers such as Thomas Quiggin.

Also amongst this group was to have been former Conservative Party of Canada leadership hopeful and now leader of the breakaway PCC Maxime Bernier who has made opposition to immigration and multiculturalism key components of his far-right party's identity:

The bigots who have been profiled on ARC have been drawn to Bernier like a moth to a flame since he left the Conservative Party (which appears to have been pulled even further right in an effort to draw those supporters back) since Bernier left to form the PCC. He seems to be very comfortable associating with these groups:

On the day of the event however, Bernier seems to have conveniently found a scheduling conflict:

His university fan club however did show up:

Justin Ling attended the event and reported as follows:

Looking through the social media pages of the folks covered here, I find the following. First a video by Travis Patron of the neo-fascist Nationalist Party of Canada and accompanying comments:

The Dan Dubois of the Canadian Combat Coalition reposted one of Patron's videos to their group:

Just to get a flavor of what these folks are about for any new readers, these following screen shots should prove instructive:

The Northern Guard and former Proud Boy member Robert Jones chimed in with their thoughtful critique of the Anti-Hate Canada article discussing the events planned for today:

Also, Canadian Combat Coalition supporter, Northern Guard supporter, and QAnon conspiracy nutbar Duke Willis who attended the Ottawa protest and uploaded a video"

It also looks like there are other anti-migrant protests in both Toronto and Calgary, though there appears to be no more than a couple of dozen individuals participating in each; Steven Myatt is involved in the one in Calgary where he now lives and Ron Banerjee is in Toronto.

Here's Banerjee leading a chant to "lock [Trudeau] up":

Here is a brief video of Calgary. Note the Soldiers of Odin are present. The claim that there are over 100 people appears to be exaggerated:

The III% militia in Alberta also commented on the Anti-Hate Canada article, some making not so veiled threats:

The leader of a fringe Alberta separatist party, Dave Bjorkman who was part of the story involving Soldiers of Odin members attending a United Conservative Party event (see here and here) claims to be one of the organizers for an anti-migrant event in Edmonton as well. In the first video Bjorkman suggests that the UCP are involved in the rally as well:

Cameron vs. Van Hamme: Battle of the Douchebags

Not a particularly classy title for this article, but I believe that most readers will find it apropos.

I think we can all accurately define Ronny Cameron as a white supremacist at this point, right?

None of this is of particular surprise given the trajectory Cameron has been on the last year of course. What is new-ish is Cameron's apparent belief that he is the font of knowledge on a broad range of scholarship, including anthropology and human evolution:

Full disclosure here. This writer has a particular passion for this subject having a background in history, sociology, and anthropology. Suffice it to say that this was especially painful for me to watch because Ronny Cameron is really a blithering idiot who really doesn't understand the topic he is covering but who has started to present himself as an authority on all the subjects he talks about. This particular video, which I won't subject ARC readers to, is filled with misrepresentations, falsehoods, and pseudo-science that would give even the most patient person a headache. Honestly, I think Erich von Däniken might be a more credible and knowledgeable scholar by comparison, and he is a fraudulent hack.

After watching the entire video (because I'm a damn masochist apparently) I had only four words enter into my mind which appropriate encapsulated my thoughts:

"Wow, what an idiot."

No me thinking Ronny an idiot shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, but more and more people who might be considered alt-right -- even if they don't consider themselves to be alt-right -- have come to the same conclusion.

With Steven Myatt moving to Alberta (yeah, that's a thing) and Ronny needing to be in conflict with someone, it didn't take long for him to find someone else to beef with:

Alex Van Hamme runs Free Bird Media and has links to folks like Faith Goldy, Paul Fromm, and James Sears. While ARC regulars are likely well aware of who he is, others might remember him from these stories that came out during the Ontario election:

A couple of days ago, Van Hamme found himself in a dialogue with Cameron who was using an alternate Facebook profile:

It's clear that Van Hamme had been annoyed with Ronny for some time and this exchange seems to have been the straw that broke the camel's back since soon after he posted a video slamming Ronny as an idiot:

Van Hamme certainly has a bit of an ego himself based on how he characterizes himself, and I'm not sure I'd be so uppity in touting my journalistic credentials if I considered an interview with "Dimitri the Lover" to be a significant coup:

Still, it's hard to argue with Van Hamme's characterization of Ronny.

It wasn't long before Ronny caught wind of the video. He responded in a dignified, measured, mature, manner befitting his self-proclaimed status as the face of white nationalism in Canada.

And by dignified, measured, and mature, I mean an hour and forty-minute profane dis track because Ronny gotta Ronny.

The video is too long to post in its entirety so I have currently cut it into 14 clips. I may very well come back to the this article at a later date to edit for the juicy stuff, but I'm tired and cranky so I'm making you sift through it all if you have the stomach. My personal favorite part though was when Ronny started bragging about his 130 IQ based on an online IQ test. I'm sure many readers have done these tests as well. I've done several in the past for shits and giggles and my IQ ranges from 120 to 250 based on these tests. Now a 120 IQ might not be out of the question, but I am not so arrogant to believe I have a 250 IQ. Suffice it to say I have come to question the scientific rigor of IQ tests that my mother shares on Facebook:

Ronny Cameron Thrilled With Bernier Leaving Conservative Party

Maxime Bernier quitting the Conservative Party on the eve of the Conservative Party Policy Convention and promising to create and lead a new, presumably further right, party has sort of been a bit of a political earth quake in the country. Certainly it has been met with consternation among Conservatives who believe that a split on the right would all but guarantee another Liberal victory. Others are thrilled that they will have a "real conservative" who supports their values.

One of those people is very happy today:

Going through the thread, I would say that maybe 25% of commentators agree with Cameron while the remaining 75% are losing their shit alternatively accusing Bernier of being paid off by George Soros and/or Saudi Arabia and accusing each other of being "libtards."

In fact, Cameron has been providing a fair amount of shallow political commentary for the past week:

It's funny that this is sort of the very low hanging fruit that he accuses Myatt of posting, but I digress.

To be fair, I suppose Cameron has made a few posts that might constitute a rudimentary, if entirely predictable, political platform that he sees someone like Bernier implementing. For example, echoing Bernier's criticism of Canadian immigration policy, Cameron posted the following:

We Are At The Airing Of Grievances Point In The Program Featuring Ronny Cameron and "No Show" Goudreau

Alternate title 1: "Cameron and Myatt: Friends Off"

Alternate title 2: "'No Show' Claims to Have Minions"

It is very clear that the WCAI rally that was supposed to be the biggest show on the Canadian white nationalist, white supremacist, Islamophobic, and antisemitic calendar before being cancelled then proceeding (sort of) resulted in such a crushing humiliation (much like the American counterpart yesterday) instead continued to expose the deep personality conflicts between members of groups of this far-right movement. There has been so much fighting prior to and since the failed Toronto rally that it really is hard to know exactly where to start.

Prior to the day of the event, Ronny Cameron posted a lengthy video that was really an extended beef. He attacks the usual suspects: Ron Banerjee, Dan Dubois and the Canadian Combat Coalition (really, such a stupid name), Andrew Scheer, the JDL and Jews in general while promoting various conspiracy theories, and a few others. There was one person who I was genuinely surprised to see him go after because there had been no indication of animosity prior to the video:

Cameron claims that his issue is with Myatt's ridiculous efforts launch a class action law suit against Justin Trudeau, suing him for treason (because he really thinks that's how it works). ARC has followed Myatt's efforts for a while:

While Cameron is actually correct on ridiculing the law suit effort and questioning the finances, is also seems very clear in the video however is that there might also just a bit of jealousy:

Cancelled WCAI Toronto Rally Unmitigated Disaster For Canadian Far-Right

The recriminations resulting from the disaster that was the cancelled Charlottesville-North WCAI rally will continue for some time. Here are just a few examples of the fallout.

First it should be acknowledged that one of the reasons for the failure of the rally was that this guy was going to show up:

In fact Kevin "No Show" Goudreau indeed lived up to his nickname and didn't show up to support the stripped-down effort of Sandra Solomon (more on that in a moment) but that didn't stop him from posting a video attacking those who didn't turn out to support it and attack Meir Weinstein and the JDL. He spent much of the brief video making threats and promising another video, but then his girlfriend yelled at him so he timidly turned off the recording:

UPDATE: "No Show" has been drinking it would seem.

Responding to his own brief video

Joey Deluca also continues to blame the JDL and is now suggesting a nefarious conspiracy was afoot:
