"White Nationalist" Travis Patron Trying To Book Room For Speech at University of Toronto

While ARC has been critical of the mainstream media in the past for not looking deeply enough at the ideology of the far right, it has been doing a better job of late. One journalist who I've found has been consistently good though is Stewart Bell who wrote the following concerning the reactionary Yellow Vest protesters and their calls to murder politicians, particularly Prime Minister Trudeau:

It is clear that there is a toxic hatred of the political left, immigrants, refugees, FNIM, Quebecois, Muslims, Jews, people of color, homosexuals, and other groups based on a mountain of evidence gathered here and by such groups as Yellow Vests Exposed. We've also witnessed how groups such as the Soldiers/Wolves of Odin, Northern Guard, Proud Boys, and other groups as well as individuals profiled on this blog -- John Marleau, Dara Graham, Thomas Trenerry, Paul Fromm, and Joey Deluca to name a few -- are attracted to this toxicity and in many cases are using the reactionary Yellow Vests protests to promote their own bigotry.

We can add another person to that list:

I've written about Travist Patron and his Canadian Nationalist Party in the past. Much like the Islamic Party of Ontario that the right-wing is currently in a panic about, the CNP is so fringe I'm not sure that they will manage to even get the necessary signatures to become a registered political party, though this isn't to say they don't have support on the far right:

Still, they are a rather pathetic bunch who have spent a great deal of time desperately trying to be relevant:

People who have actually looked at the platform, such that it is, of the CNP view it for the joke that it is:

When he has attempted to hold meetings, they have been failures. They have either been cancelled such as this planned Toronto event that never happened....

.... turned into a farce as occurred in Winnipeg....

..... or had very few people bother to show an interest:

But don't think continual failure and humiliation is going to thwart Travis Patron, would-be fuhrer leader of the Canadian Nationalist Party:

Like the Islamic Party of Ontario, there is absolutely no danger of the Canadian Nationalist Party achieving political power. Also like the Islamic Party of Ontario however, it is worth keeping an eye on Travis Patron's vanity project since the rhetoric coming from himself, his "party", and his supporters could pose a danger to individuals and vulnerable groups influenced by his extremism.

Is Travis Patron an extremist? Well, one has to ask one's self why a person who wishes to serve in government is so secretive about his "party's" real views and membership:

Police have charged one man after Ottawa’s central mosque on Northwestern Avenue and the Islam Care Centre were hit by vandalism this week.....Investigators were able to confirm that windows were broken at both the mosque and care centre and then arrested the man. Police allege that the man assaulted one of the arresting officers. 

Shawn Le Guerrier, 27, has been charged with two counts of mischief and one count of assault police.

ARC received information about Le Guerrier which suggests that he subscribes to white nationalist beliefs and runs in a crowd that advocates violent confrontations with antifa:

Of further note, Le Guerrier is a member or supporter of the Ottawa chapter of the Soldiers of Odin:

I should further mention that this is actually the second time Le Guerrier has targeted the same mosque in as many weeks. Interesting that the "law abiding" SoO didn't give Le Guerrier the boot the first time.... unless they perhaps tacitly approved of the vandalism? And perhaps not coincidentally, the same mosque was also the target of an attempted arson.

This isn't of particular surprise to those of us who follow the SoO in Canada. Members of the SoO in both Ontario (at least those who have attended the anti-Muslim events in Toronto), Calgary, and British Columbia have become increasingly aggressive and confrontational and the level of anti-Muslim vitriol is increasingly hysterical and unhinged. ARC and others have reported on the large number of white supremacists who have joined or who are supporters of the Canadian organization, as well as their refusal to disavow the Finnish parent chapter in spite of the founder's overt ties to a violent neo-Nazi group and his (and others) numerous arrests for racially-based assaults. 

Or, at least the once refused to disavow Finland. Seems things have changed:

Thus far we haven't heard anything from Joel Angott, but at this point there seems to have been a coup which has ousted SoO National President and founder Angott and has resulted in convicted grow-op operator with what appears to be a recent domestic violence charge hanging over his head Bill Daniels becoming the new Grand Poobah.

So, What Has Shawn Macdonald Been Up To?

We were recently given a heads up concerning some of Shawn Macdonald's recent activities.

At the end of March, we reported that Montreal antifa had managed to shut down a concert featuring a number of racist bands. The "boneheads" at Vinland Awakes, a racist blog trying to be as awesome as ARC but badly failing, were not pleased:

Now, when we write "boneheads" we should perhaps write in the singular since we learned that Shawn Macdonald is the owner of Vinland Awakes. And taking a page from McKee's B&H in Calgary, Macdonald has spent some time promoting the blog via stickers that have been found in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside:

Aside from changing his name to a Latin phrase which is loosely translated as "Majestic Invincible Sun" and, thus, indicating that he has an ego that Donald Trump might envy, Augie here is an interesting cat for other reasons:

A few relevant points:

There are a few reasons why Wyllie finds Invictus such a distasteful character. "Mr. Invictus has repeatedly vowed that it is his destiny to start a second civil war in America," Wyllie wrote in a Facebook post announcing his resignation. He continued, "He has described himself as an American Fascist... He has expressed support for a eugenics program... Many of his supporters are known members of Neo-Nazi and white supremacist groups."

While the Florida Libertarian Party didn't out-and-out eject Invictus from its ranks, it did issue a press release Monday condemning the Senate candidate's views. "The LPF has not endorsed Augustus Invictus and has not provided him with any support," the party's new chair said in the statement. But, the party added, "Under the law, we cannot prevent him from running as a Libertarian and he is not required to enter our certification process."

The impetus for all this was apparently a post on Invictus' Senate campaign website titled "A Declaration of the Failings of the US Government." In it, the candidate does display some pretty racist views, like accusing the federal government of abandoning "its eugenics programs & elitist mindset in favor of a decadent ideology that rejects the beauty of strength and demands the exponential growth of the weakest, the least intelligent, and the most diseased."

Still, weird name and racist views aside, Invictus might have gone unnoticed by the public at large if it weren't for Wyllie's assertion that, "Mr. Invictus was ejected from Ordo Templi Orientis for brutally and sadistically dismembering a goat in a ritualistic sacrifice." Naturally, this got people's attention, piquing the interest of the national news media....

Now we generally don't write a lot about the American nutters unless there is a direct link to Canada, so you all know where this is going:

Wade Michael Page: Deranged Loner or Part of a Bigger Problem?

Our friends at OPP have been at work and have proven that Wade Michael Page wasn't only a neo-Nazi band member, but a full-on member of one of the United States' most infamous and violent hate groups:

When it was learned that Wade Michael Page was the shooter at a Sikh Temple in Wisconsin, just as quickly news came out that he was in a number of WP bands. But more information has come out that says the original belief that he was not part of any actual hate group is very, very wrong.

OAK CREEK, WI--The shooter in the shooting at a Sikh Temple in suburban Milwaukee that killed six people before police gunned him down has been identified as Wade Michael Page, a member of the Hammerskin Nation HSN, the oldest and most violent neo-Nazi bonehead organization in the United States.

Rob de Chazal: The Lemire Connection

A friend forwarded us a number of interesting screen shots from some of the hacked emails, including those from Kermit the Frog impersonator Bill Noble.

Since one of our focuses is currently on Rob de Chazal (who, along with Shawn Macdonald and Alastair Miller, is accused of a series of assaults), we did a little search and were surprised at what we found because it was really quite unexpected.

Back in late 2004, former WCFU co-founder and leader Glenn Bahr decided that he was going to engage in a massive (from his standpoint) flyering campaign to get out the "White Nationalist" message which would take place on January 15, 2005:

On this Stormfront thread, Bahr and other "White Nationalists" discuss how they will proceed and, once the campaign was over, brag about the success:

After learning of the arrests of the three Blood & Honour members accused of a series of assaults in Vancouver, we spent some time looking at the online history of Shawn Macdonald (even though he did try to cover his tracks) but we haven't spent a lot of time looking at the other two accused. That was a mistake because at least one of those accused, Rob de Chazal, was at one time not at all shy about sharing his views.

First, a point of clarification. De Chazal has used quite a few online monikers. On Stormfront, he started as "LaundryBob" before asking it to be changed to, "Hapmaldroid" and then finally, "vonKvltvs88." On the old WCFU forums he was "Rob88." And on the Hamerskins forum, he's known as "Chernobog." We note this to both clear up any potential confusion and to indicate that Rob de Chazal appears to have had some identity issues.

Further, to answer the question, "are you sure this guy is Rob?" we offer the following proof:

It might surprise some of our readers to know just how long de Chazal has been involved in some form of organized racism. He registered on Stormfront in late 2001 while still in high school and really left nothing to the imagination when it came to his beliefs:

Vancouver protesters confront alleged supremacists

VANCOUVER -- Dozens of protesters confronted two suspected white supremacists outside court Monday as the pair faced aggravated assault charges for alleged hate crimes.

Robertson De Chazal and Alastair Miller, both of Vancouver, are alleged to have set a Filipino man on fire in 2009, as the victim lay sleeping on a discarded couch.

In the same year, De Chazal, 25, was also charged with another count of aggravated assault for allegedly rendering a black man unconscious. Police allege that he, along with Miller, are part of the organized hate group, Blood and Honour.

“It’s not necessarily a victory that they might go to jail for a year, two months, or 20 years, I oppose their existence as a whole,” said a masked protester who identified himself as Poncho.

“We’re covering our faces because we live in a lot of the same neighbourhoods where a lot of these people live and we plan to keep organizing against them.”

Poncho, who handed out pamphlets detailing allegations against the accused, was one of a few dozen protesters crowded outside courthouse doors.

Protesters held up a sign adorned with a crossed-out swastika, with the words “Nazi scum f--- off.”

Both De Chazal and Miller are next expected to appear in court March 12.

UPDATE: The CBC covered the fallout of the Nazi hack revelations, contacting a number of those individuals who's names, email and home addresses, and phone numbers were released.

Tonight on "The National" a story will air concerning the racist movement in Canada. Much of it will focus on the recent hack of far right websites and email addresses, including those of Canadian racists known very well to us and to our readers. However there might also be some focus on the assaults in Vancouver.

So it seems appropriate then to post some of the screenshots of Shawn Macdonald's posts on the Hammerskin's webforum.

We can't be sure exactly when Shawn had his account removed, though it is likely he did so around the time he was deleting his posts (and the entire Canadian section) from the Blood & Honour forum he helped moderate. Also, changing your name from, "Big Mac" to "Big Cheese" really isn't fooling anyone.

Some of these posts are quite interesting in that Macdonald heavily promoted combat sports as training for WNs who, as Shawn himself says were already, "familiar with street fighting." But we'll let our readers peruse the screen shots and let us know what they think:

Approximately 25 anti-racists attended the Friday, January 27, court appearance of Shawn MacDonald (39), a member of the neo-Nazi group Blood and Honour charged with three assaults against people of colour in the Vancouver area.

We were sent this a few moments ago:

Shawn MacDonald's court appearance delayed till 1:30 pm today (same courtroom 307 at 222 Main). He has plead not guilty to the hate crimes and they are setting trial dates (he elected for a judge and jury). His lawyer is infamous/notorious far-right libertarian Doug Christie who has a history of defending white supremacists and neo-Nazis (Keegstra, Zundel, Collins, Fromm etc).

In addition to this, the individual who originally posted this message also stated she received an email from someone trying to intimidate her into being silent.

From what we know about this woman, that ain't happening. For the benefit of our bonehead readers, does the term, "chew you up and spit youu out" mean anything to you?

No One Is Illegal Statement on Blood and Honour White Supremacist Hate Crimes 

No One is Illegal-Vancouver, Coast Salish Territories is a grassroots anti-colonial and anti racist migrant justice group. As a multiracial movement led by people of colour, we are outraged to hear of the rise of overt white supremacist groups in the Lower Mainland. In the past month, it has come to light that at least three men, Robertson de Chazal, Shawn Donald Finlay MacDonald, and Alastair Miller with known links to Blood and Honour are being charged in a number of violent assaults and hate crimes from 2008-2010 against a Filipino man who was set on fire, a Black man, a Latino man, and an Indigenous woman.

De Chazal and Miller will next appear in court on February 13, but in the meantime a little more information about the attack on the Filipino man has been released.

It's alleged that De Chazal and Miller were having a party on a rooftop terrace overlooking the street where the incident took place. When the Filipino man lay down on the discarded sofa, De Chazal and Miller are believed to have gone outside and set the man on fire. When a good Samaritan (who was black) tried to help, he was assaulted and called at least one racial epithet.

This is what we've been told, however we will know more when the details are covered in the media.

The hearing for Rob de Chazal and Alastair Miller has been scheduled for January 23. Shawn Macdonald's hearing will take place on January 27.

Now we can't say how Miller and Macdonald will defend themselves, but it appears that part of de Chazal's defence will be that he is not a neo-Nazi and that language describing him as such is prejudicial:

We've twice (here and here) alluded to something rather odd happening on the Blood & Honour forums (as opposed to the Blood and Honour International/Combat 18 forums). Given that three of their own have been accused of and arrested for a series of assaults in Vancouver, one might expect something about this would be discussed on their website.

And there was a thread created to discuss it. Briefly. So briefly we didn't get the screen shots before the thread "mysteriously" disappeared.

Well, it really isn't all that much of a mystery. Shawn Macdonald, one of the men accused in the series of assaults in Vancouver, is also a moderator on the forums. It appears that he, or someone acting for him, made the offending thread disappear. This is evidenced by the last time Shawn logged in to the forum:

Blood & Honour has finally decided to comment on the arrests made last Thursday in Vancouver.

Oh, not the Blood & Honour faction to which the three individuals arrested are a part of. No, the Blood & Honour faction weighing in is the Combat 18 aligned faction:

Our readers who might swing by the Stormfront forums once in a while will all be able to relate to this story. You find a thread that was obviously edited clumsily by a Stormfront moderator. There are statements which, devoid of context, make no sense. There are quoted sections appearing in other messages that are still there, but the original has disappeared. There are comments telling people to chill out and referring to posters who, again, are no longer present in the discussion as class acts and warriors for the cause. And, without a doubt, you will find at least once poster who has had his posting privileges removed for some unknown infraction.

Sort of like this discussion here which is a disjointed mess.

And, if you're like us, you wish that you had been able to read those posts which have been removed because you just know something juicy was written that might be really embarrassing to some people. You kick yourself thinking, "if only I had gotten there sooner...."

So, should we stop teasing you?

After all, we all know that if the accused were of non-European heritage, the denizens of Stormfront and VNN would be all over it and claiming the crime as further evidence that "Whites" can't coexist in a society with 'dem ethnics.

Would it surprise our readers that not much has been posted about the crimes that Macdonald, de Chazal and Miller are accused of? Of course you aren't!
