Faith Goldy: "Champion" of *Women

*The right kind of women, that is.

As of the writing of this article, we seem to be a few hours away from Brett Kavanaugh, a man who has been accused of a number of credible allegations of sexual assault as well as committing perjury, being confirmed to the Supreme Court of the United States on a mostly party line vote. The partisan nature of this vote and how women are treated depending on their ideological purity (or at least the political party of the accused) might best be exemplified by this exchange during Faith Goldy's Reddit AMA from a couple of days ago:

The mostly male incel bottom feeders loved her response:

While hypocrisy isn't necessarily confined to any side of the political spectrum, it seems especially pronounced on the far-right.

This brings me to the point of this article.

On September 30, a man was caught on video kicking an anti-choice protester.

I don't know of all the circumstances behind the incident but even at my most charitable, based on what I did see, I can't describe it in any other way than as a profoundly stupid thing to do regardless of any provocation. That's me though and I don't pretend to speak for anyone else on this matter.

It then shouldn't be a surprise that the anti-choice zealots jumped on this particular propaganda gift right away. Among those trying to score points is Faith Goldy:

However it seems Ms. Goldy, as well as the far-right LifeSite, were fooled by this particular Twitter account:

The fact that this was a parody account notwithstanding, Goldy's decision to champion this particular issue is.... interesting:

It is interesting because while she's hoping that the woman in this case is okay and demanding swift justice, I can't help but wonder if her outrage might be situational and ideologically driven:

Nathan Damigo was the founder of the pompously named Identiy Evropa, an "identitarian" hate group similar to that of ID Canada (formerly Generation Identity Canada) and at least as, if not more, antisemitic:
Your application form asks for people of “non-Semitic heritage.” What does that mean?
Ashkenazi, or sephardic. Things like that. This is an identitarian movement. There are some people from some Semitic groups who perhaps would identify as white. However we would not identify them as white. We identify people of European heritage as white, not of Semitic heritage.
So what’s the big deal with Jews?
I think they are a Semitic people. I do not think they are a white people. I think they have an ethno-state in Israel, and I think that’s a great thing.
And how do you think Jews fit into America?
Well that’s a pretty interesting story, some aspects of that history get focused on so much that you miss the other aspects of it. One of the other aspects that’s been really missed is Jewish power, Jewish influence. It’s been extraordinarily negative for people of European heritage, for our foreign policy, for our domestic policy. And there has been a lot that’s happened that’s been pretty hurtful that the Jewish community has advocated for that has been very anti-white.
Damigo has a fairly extensive criminal record which includes a five year sentence for robbing a can driver he assumed was Arab. He was also one of the organizers of the Charlottesville event that resulted in numerous assaults by "white nationalists" and the murder of Heather Heyer:

What made Nathan Damigo a hero among members of the far-right however was this incident in April 2017 in Berkeley:

During the protest that grew into a riot in which members of the far-right attacked counter-protesters, Damigo sucker punched a woman.... twice. Having assaulted a 95 lbs woman, he was lauded for his bravery by his fellow travelers.

Sympathetic media soon joined the fray and attempted to justify the assault. Among those who did so were Lauren Southern then formerly of Ezra Levant's "Rebel Media"....

.... and Faith Goldy who was then working for Ezra Levant's "Rebel Media":

"Mother Jones" refers to this interview in their article on Damigo:

Among those who are supportive of Damigo are those who posted comments on Goldy's "Rebel" article:

This is the guy that "Rebel Media" supporters call a "patriot":

Interestingly, though one can still find the article on the "Rebel Media" site, one can't find in on Goldy's Twitter account any more:

Ms. Goldy will have to excuse me when I assume that her words about defending women are mostly wind without meaning.

OCTOBER 14 UPDATE: A further example of the cognitive dissonance.

And yes, Connor (discussed in this post) is one of Goldy's campaign volunteers:
