Back in May, we wrote about
Lacey Dawn Snyder and Dylan Trommel. Both had just plead guilty to a racially-based assault on a 32 year old student from the Congo which involved racial epithets and bear spray.
Guess who was in the news again for all the wrong reasons:
More than 300 stolen IDs also retrieved during downtown search
EDMONTON - Two Edmonton men are in custody after police seized 300 stolen pieces of ID, blank credit cards and a record quantity of a "date-rape drug" at a downtown residence.
Police discovered four litres of gamma hydrobutyric (GHB) -- the largest quantity ever found in Alberta -- while executing a search warrant at a home near 121st Street and Jasper Avenue last Friday.
The drug, found as a syrupy clear liquid or white powder, is used by sexual predators for its alcohol-like effects, but with quicker onset and more short-term memory loss. Police estimate the street value at $16,000. Quantities of ecstasy and methamphetamine were also seized from the home.
Police also discovered more than 300 pieces of identification, blank credit cards and a credit card-making machine. Many of the pieces of identification had been reported stolen from vehicles over the past three months.
Walter Henry Jones, 35, and Lacey Dawn Snyder, 22, face numerous drug possession charges. Jones was also charged with breach of probation and faces several assault charges, while Snyder faces an additional charge of breach of recognizance.
The investigation continues.
