La Meute in Oka Went Exactly As One Might Expect

This past Saturday, members of La Meute traveled to Kanesatake (Oka), PQ to hold a rally.... or something. Ostensibly claiming to be trying to forge some sort of ties with First Nations' people there, given they showed up uninvited strike me more as an effort to intimidate.

If that is the case, it did not go as planned (Video by Tonya Fawn):

At least one member of La Meute, Bryan Trottier, appears to be rather aggrieved:

Way to build bridges there Bryan.

But really, what did the idiots in La Meute think would happen? Did they actually think that Mohawk warriors who stood up to the Canadian military would be intimidated by a bunch of weekend cosplayers who routinely shit themselves at the first sign of even perceived danger?

Did they think that the people who have this as a legacy would be frightened by La Meute?!?!

Do they think they are going to cow people like Waneek Horn-Miller who was stabbed with a bayonet....

.... and then become a decorated athlete and an Olympian?

That would be a hard no.

If La Meute has any sense, they will not replicate this particular stunt again.

More Evidence Linking Faith Goldy to Overt Antisemitic and Racist Groups

Back on August 25, ARC published a story about this guy:

Lukas Danford from Barrie, ON was the only person to show up for "No Show" Goudreau's September 30, 2017 rally in Peterborough:

At the time no one knew his name, but it turned out that he had participated on the leaked Discord chats under the moniker "Tarnfurt." He appeared to be active exclusively on the #tradworker server and had expressed interest in establishing a Canadian chapter of the racist Traditionalist Worker Party which was founded by Matthew Heimbach.

When this information was published, I wasn't sure if we would cross paths with Danford again. It seems though that he is even more interesting than I had once thought because of whom a reader was able to connect him to:

On July 3, Faith Goldy organized an anti-immigrant protest in Quebec at Roxham Road. The main focus of the article had been on Ronny Cameron seeming to fully embrace the antisemitic, white supremacist, path based in large part on his video commentary of the event (this has been definitively  borne out since the video was published), however a reader who looked through the video noticed another familiar face:

Lukas Danford was at the Roxham Road protest.

This is where things become more interesting:

The same reader who noticed Danford in Cameron's video also found this 4chan discussion of Faith Goldy. It appears to be comprised mainly of misogynistic, alt-right, incel cretins.

In other words....

One user however stood out from the rest because he could be identified:

User "JLf5DF+z" is also Lukas Danford who later goes on to describe his meeting with Goldy at the Roxham Road protest:

Note ARC didn't put the swazi on Danford's blacked-out face. Nope, he did that himself.

(I also see Georges Massaad's gf Leigh "Stewy" Stewart in the background wearing the Blue Jays cap. Hi Leigh!).

Because it is 4chan, a lot of the exchanges between Danford and the other users were as icky as you would anticipate:

There were some posts that were more substantive and seem to provide information that as a mayoral candidate Ms. Goldy has been trying to suppress as she tries to appeal to a wider demographic:

Introducing the ID Canada Members Flyering At University of Calgary

I think it is noteworthy that many of the white nationalists/supremacists who have lately been proclaiming that they are not ashamed to be "proud of their race" seem to really want to hide in the shadows when doing anything to express their pride.... almost as if they know that they should be embarrassed by their actions:

These were being posted around the grounds of the main campus of the University of Calgary around 10:00 pm on September 12. Now normally these kind of posters appear without anyone seeing who put them up. In this case however the ID Canada members (or supporters if not full members) were caught in the act:

I was asked not to post the video, but I took a few more screen shots. What is amusing, at least to me, is how uncomfortable and guilty-looking these two dude-bros looked when confronted:

Yep, a couple of alphas right there.

In any case, if anyone has more information, don't be shy about sending it my way:

UPDATE: We have some identifications. The dumpy-looking guy is Jake Logan Findell.

Findell was also present at the WCAI rally in front of City Hall in Calgary on June 3, 2017.

And though I didn't notice before, the person who sent information on Findell noticed from video footage that Paul Fromm was also present at the June 3 rally:

Faith Goldy's Book Club: "The Turner Diaries" and Julius Evola

ARC has been paying a little more attention to Faith Goldy these days given what will likely be her futile, though certainly self-serving, mayoral candidacy that Doug Ford in a fit of pique seems determined to continue to disrupt ("law and order for thee, unless I'm the one who violates the law in which case screw you law!"). Ms. Goldy's recent efforts to both deny her past association with overt neo-Nazis and her own xenophobic and ultra-ethnic nationalist statements while at the same time dog whistling to these same groups that she's still one of them reminded me of a tweet she made almost exactly a years ago.

But before I get to that, some context.

Back in April, PressProgress published a story detailing Goldy making a book recommendation to her supporters:

One of Goldy’s recommended books – “For My Legionaries,” by Corneliu Codreanu – is described by the Southern Poverty Law Centre as one of “the canonical works of global fascism,” a text published in 1937 by the anti-Semitic leader of a murderous Romanian fascist group that advocated “the elimination of Jews.”
“This one is a little bit edgier,” Goldy concedes.
Indeed it is:

Goldy claimed in the video that she hadn't read the entire book at the time she made the recommendation, but I imagine she could have read the table of contents and perhaps at least up to pg. 62:

When eventually confronted with the fact the author of the book she described as being "very, very, very, very spot on given a lot of what the movement is talking about right now” was the founder of Romanian fascism, she "disavowed" it claiming she had no idea it promoted fascism and antisemitism:

Well then, that certainly clears things up.... or something.

Goldy went on to write that it isn't illegal to read or recommend books and then seems to double-down on her support of the "themes" found in "My Legionaries":

"Their people" presumably doesn't include Jews....

Now no one suggested that it wasn't legal for her to "read" or "recommend" and book and in and of itself reading and recommending such a book might be perfectly reasonable. I for one have read and own books such as Hitler's "Mein Kampf" (I own two copies including a pre-WWII English translation), David Duke's "My Awakening", and much of the work of William Pierce (more on this in a moment). Hell, I even once subjected myself to David Lane's noxious "KD Rebel". I read these and other books to help me understand the psychology of the groups and individuals I've kept an eye on for now over 20 years and I would recommend that others interested in anti-racist activism to do the same. However given Ms. Goldy's association with the ideology and members of the far-right, I'm not necessarily willing to give her the benefit of the doubt:

Which finally (because I'm long winded as hell) brings me to the point.

On September 8, 2018 and prior to her recommendation of "My Legionaries" Ms. Goldy made another book recommendation:

Canadian Combat Coalition's Sham 9/11 Vigil in Toronto's Greektown

Immediately after the murders of Reese Fallon and Julianna Kozis (thirteen others were injured in the attack) Islamophobes immediately tried to exploit the tragedy. Among those groups was Dan Dubois and the embarrassingly named Canadian Combat Coaltion.

Today members of that hate group and their supporters are in Greektown ostensibly to hold a vigil in order to memorialize the victims of terrorism, but the real reason is far more cynical. No CCC member is from the area and no one from the neighborhood as far as this writer knows wants any of them there:

Matthew Bingley of Global News Toronto is on the scene:

And of course Faith Goldy showed up (along with her new BFF Meir Weinstein):

The racists are significantly outnumbered:

CCC member Dunn Ryan Mclean isn't happy that the counter-protesters both outnumber them and have occupied the park:

Dan Dubois is also doing a live video. I'll post that (in full or in part depending on length) when he stops recording. Thus far he has introduced Weinstein and Goldy. Shawn McBeath is also there:

These folks are classy:

This lady is running for the city council in Toronto, but hates Toronto and thinks that she might be shot by a counter-protester:

When Dubois gets on the mic and tries give a "dignified" and solemn speech befitting the planned event, he shows his hand by referring to the counter-protesters as "libtards." Of course, a significant number of the people counter-protesting are from Greektown and, in theory, are among the victims Dubois and his Islamophobic hate group have come to support.

A police officer shuts him down almost immediately:

Eventually the "vigil" gets underway and includes speeches by Dubois, Weinstein, Goldy, and Banerjee (but Banerjee is boring so I cut him out):

This was all followed by a few brief minutes of self-serving prayer. Then the vigil, such that it ever was, was over.

Final thoughts from Dubois:

These are some of the comments during Dubois' live feed. Remember that this is a neigborhood that was beset by tragedy and Dubois claims he and his supporters were there to memorialize the victims of terrorism:

You aren't helping Tobi.

A few screen shots:

Ron Banerjee is there too because of course he is:

Dunn Ryan Mclean is doing a second live video:

Here are some of the comments:

After leaving Greektown, Dubois, Goldy, Banerjee, much of the CCC and Sons of Odin crew, stopped as a restaurant for drinks. Dubois was again pissed at the poor showing:
