This past week the long awaited trial of Dean Clifford began.
It also ended very quickly as Clifford, using the genius legal maneuvering such as not calling any witnesses, refusing to participate in the trial (as much as he could), and engaging in linguistic semantics:

We will be posting an article on this horrible tragedy that examines the reaction from Canadian boneheads soon, however we did want to briefly discuss part of the Charleston killer 's, "manifesto" that had published online prior to the murder of 9 men and women as well as the photographs that were found on a zip file on the website. Unbelievably, despite evidence from the Charleston killer 's own mouth at the time of the murders that his motivation was racially based and his subsequent confession, there are those who still persisted in the belief that the attack was motivated by some other factor (some on Fox News suggested that it was an attack on Christians primarily). Other claims are even more ridiculous; it was a false flag operation and there wasn't any murders at all, the Charleston killer was on drugs; he was an FBI/NSA/CIA plant to discredit "White Nationalists," and he was actually an Obama supporter (based on a very poor photoshop of the original picture).
But then there are also the photographs he posted (aside from those where he is wearing the jacket with the Rhodesian and apartheid-era South African flags) that are filled with racist symbolism:
Before beginning, we need to acknowledge the terrible tragedy that occurred yesterday in South Carolina. Our friend Daryle Jenkins of the One Peoples' Project as well as the folks at the Southern Poverty Law Center have been providing coverage of the racially-motivated mass murder and we recommend our readers take a look those websites. We will provide our take, and focus on the Canadian reaction, on a later date.
Earlier yesterday, the funeral of Constable Daniel Woodall took place. Woodall was murdered when he and other members of the Edmonton Police Service attempted to arrest Norman Raddatz on charges related to the continued and escalating harassment of a Jewish family. Raddatz also appears to have subscribed to the Freeman ideology, a pseudo-philosophy that has resulted in numerous violent acts in the United States where is it most prevalent.
Some time after the funeral took place, Paulie saw fit to add his $0.02:
The video is classic Paulie. Poor audio. A woman on crutches holding the camera. And numerous self-serving half-truths and lies.
We could discuss the claims he made about the demise of Glenn Bahr's WCFU. We might also have something to say about his suggestion that those involved in the assault on at least two men in Edmonton by members of Blood & Honour were exonerated (in fact Badrock had his charges stayed, Bernie Miller plead guilty, and McKee was sent away on weapons charges as a result of the investigation). We'll let those pass though. Let's for now counter the claims Paulie makes regarding the murder of Const. Daniel Woodall (we admit that we might have a few things mixed up and would welcome correction if we provide any inaccurate details):
Based on our current understanding, the police arrived to arrest Raddatz for his harassment of the Jewish family. He refused to open the door. The police then got a warrant and an hour later tried again. He still refused to come out. The police then used the battering ram. When Woodall and at least one other police officer entered (Sgt. Jason Harley) entered, Raddatz opened fire killing Woodall and injuring Harley. Though Paulie claims the police came in weapons drawn and shooting, it would seem the only shots fired were from Raddatz who is alleged to have fired more than 50 rounds at the police; some of the shots fired ended up in neighboring homes and it is lucky that Raddatz didn't kill anyone else.
Seems to be a little different than how Paulie characterized the event, eh?
But the part that this writer finds especially galling is who Paulie suggests is the victim:
This story actually goes back to September 2013. We had confirmed that McKee has been in jail for a couple of months at the end of 2013 but we didn't then know the details. Since then we had moved on to other issues and did not do a hell of a lot to follow up on the charges, but today we were sent two messages (the first coming from a friend whom it has been too long since we've spoken to) that have filled in the blanks:

McKee told defence counsel Adriano Iovinelli he had never met his accuser, Jeremy Martin, until he saw him in court. .... McKee, 29, faces a charge of assault with a weapon in connection with the Sept. 14, 2013, incident. .... In submissions to provincial court Judge Bill Cummings, Iovinelli said there should be a reasonable doubt about McKee’s guilt, since Martin never mentioned the scar across the bridge of his client’s nose and his tattoo. Cummings will rule July 20.
Now everyone is innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law, so we suppose McKee could very well be telling the truth. However there are a few things that McKee said during his testimony that sort of strike us as just a wee bit dishonest and thus call into question his claim that he had never seen the alleged victim before.

Well, to be fair it actually began on Monday. Still, here's an update of what has transpired thus far:
Freeman acting as own lawyer while defending drug, weapon charges By: Mike McIntyre Posted: 06/15/2015 3:38 PM One of the leading members of the so-called Freeman on the Land movement is now acting as his own lawyer as he fights numerous drug and weapons offences. Dean Clifford was arrested in November 2013 following a search of a property in St. Andrews. He appeared in a Winnipeg courtroom Monday for the start of his week-long trial. RCMP allege that Clifford was in possession of marijuana and several firearms which weren’t licenced and improperly stored. "I object to these proceedings in their entirety," Clifford said today in response to each of the 14 charges which were read against him. Queen’s Bench Justice Chris Martin instructed the court clerk to record that as a "not guilty" position. That drew the ire of Clifford, who repeatedly insisted the federal government has no standing to prosecute him. "I am here under extreme threat and duress," Clifford said. "I’m not representing any thing or being. I’m sorry the law seems to offend people around here." Clifford was repeatedly warned by the judge to stop interrupting and be respectful of the process. He called Clifford’s position "absolutely wrong-headed and non-sensical." Everyone in the territorial jurisdiction of Canada is subject to the Criminal Code," Martin explained. "The time for games is over." ...
It goes on to discuss two others who attempted to use the defence (who we remind our readers was arrested in 2013) that Clifford seems hell-bent on using; one of those cases is still before the courts and the other one fared poorly for the defendant.
Earlier today Clifford posted the following on his Facebook profile providing his account of the day's events:

(Noun) Craig Cobb.
Our readers will no doubt vividly recall Craig Cobb's efforts to take over a small, North Dakota hamlet in order to turn it into a White Nationalist enclave. Our readers will further remember the giddy excitement from some boneheads (such as our own Tomasz Winnicki) and the ridicule of the effort by other boneheads. Finally, our readers will remember the absolute disaster of Cobb's attempt to take over the town which ultimately culminated in his arrest and later guilty plea to keep himself out of prison.
When the debacle had passed and he had been released from jail, Cobb suggested that he was done and was going to retire from the movement, at least as a public activist. Considering his desperate need for attention, we never believed him for a moment.
At least we think we're on to Part VII. Really, after a few years one does lose track.
In any case, a few years back a number of bloggers and others accused Richard Warman of posting incredibly racist comments about Caribbean-Canadian senator Anne Cools. It seems the accusation may have originated as a result of Warman's Se. 13 case against Marc Lemire. It was suggested that Warman had posted the statements on Lemire's Freedom-Site based on what was then alleged to have been an ip address Lemire and Klatt had linked to Warman. Warman denied this and there was absolutely no evidence to support the claim, but conservative Internet personalities like Kathy Shaidle and her husband Arnie, Kate McMillan of "Small Dead Animals", the good folks at Free Dominion, Ezra Levant, and a few others ran with the claim.
Mr. Warman insisted that they remove the defamatory claims from their respective websites. They doubled down. He sued.
At first they were all pretty confident that they would be able to prove that Warman had written the incredibly vile comments in question. They were especially smug when Levant was able to convince the courts to have Warman's hard drive subjected to a forensic examination:
Long story short, the forensic examination found absolutely nothing that would link Warman to the racist comments made about Ms. Cools. The other "evidence" also turned out to be a heaping load of nothing as "Bouquets of Gray" pointed out:
the browser and setup used by author of the Cools Post was different from Warman's in several key ways (here and here);
the 'expert' opinion presented by Bernard Klatt arguing that Warman was the author of the Cools post was deeply substandard in several ways (here)
Ya, that's got to sting.
The first shoe to drop was Arnie of "BlazingCatFur" back in January 2013. Today, Kate "Small Dead Animals" McMillan and Kathy "Five Feet of Fury"Shaidle joined Arnie in apologizing to Warman for the unfounded and defamatory allegations made against him:
We've been receiving messages concerning the suspect in the murder of an Edmonton police officer. We had never heard of Norman Raddatz before today, however based on the information in the media he was in the process of being arrested as a result of a hate crime investigation (Raddatz had allegedly been harassing a family for more than a year, though not many more details have been provided thus far). We are of course trying to determine if he left a trail online. He do note that Warren Kinsella (or someone Mr. Kinsella has received information from) suggested that Raddatz was a proponent of the Freeman ideology. While the threat had always been present, prior to this incident there hadn't been an example of a murder tied to the Freeman ideology in Canada (though there are numerous deaths associated with the movement in the United States). If it proves true that Raddatz was also tied to the Freeman movement, the Rubicon has been crossed sadly.
Norman Walter Raddatz, 42, named as suspect who shot and killed Edmonton police officer
Norman Walter Raddatz, the man suspected of being responsible for the killing of Edmonton Const. Daniel Woodall, had an extensive hate crimes file related to online bullying of a family in the city.
However, Raddatz did not have a significant criminal record beyond the criminal harassment file, police Chief Rod Knecht said at a news conference Tuesday.
The hate crimes file dated back to February 2014.
Raddatz, 42, allegedly shot and killed Const. Woodall on Monday night.
When you publish articles on a blog such as this and cover the content that we do, you walk a fine line. You try to expose violent racist and make the public aware of the potential dangers of organized racist groups. You have a little fun pointing out how ridiculous the individuals are who exist in this subculture, and we've been pretty good at ridicule. However, you try not to give them more publicity than they warrant since many of them thrive on the attention.
If truth be told, we've often failed to be as conscientious as we probably should have been and knowing our tendency, we'll likely continue to fall short.
That being noted, we had been following "Your Ward News" out of Toronto ever since Michelle Erstikaitis began her involvement with the publication. Prior to Erstikaitis, "Your Ward News" seems to have been primarily a vehicle for attacking Toronto City Council members as well as being a big supporter of Rob Ford. It was, and still is, distributed freely to homes in the Beaches area of Toronto and claims a circulation of 50,000.
Things started to change somewhat with the arrival of Erstikaitis who continues to write for the publication despite her current involuntary stay in one of Canada's finer federal women's institutions. During the last municipal election, Erstikaitis and "Your Ward News" endorsed the following candidates in both Toronto and Mississauga:
Paul Fromm. Not a surprise as she has a weird relationship going back with him a number of years now that even boneheads don't seem to get.
Christopher Brosky. Convicted murderer who spent close to two decades in a Texas prison and who was later deported to Canada. Erstikaitis once suggested she and Brosky had dated.
The last name was one were not familiar with, though it seems that "Dimitri the Lover" was a fringe personality of minor notoriety in Toronto.
Yeah, creepy. And if you believe this guy, he actually had at least one "student" though we can't imagine "Pavel" was any more successful than "Dimitri" would have been.
Since the municipal election, Sears has decided to go full fascist and antisemitic. He's created an unregistered political party (the New Constitution Party) which consists mainly of himself and perhaps a few of other misanthropes.
I know a few people did. Hell, even Jeff Goodall sent his warm regards.
Long story short, extended hospital stays suck. The food is flavorless. The beds are too narrow. The boredom is mind-numbing.
On the other hand, the drug cocktail in the IV drip had it's moments. There were moments where I felt at one with the universe, like the time I thought I was in a deep, meaningful, conversation with a ground squirrel spirit guide, though it turns out I was just yelling at a vase filled with daisies and daffodils. The nurses reduced the amount of morphine soon after.
It does look like one of the other Collective members tried to hold down the fort while this writer was on her unexpected sabbatical, at least for a time. However more important things like life often get in the way and no one can be faulted for that.
We will however try to get back to more regular updating. It's not as if things haven't been happening. The folks on Stormfront are becoming increasingly frisky. Your Ward News, an misanthropic little rag at best of times, has gone full fascist right down the the armbands (Kinsella and BCL have been covering that file here, here, and here). Some Southern Ontario Skinhead members and former members have been acting stupid.... again.
