Observing Patterns and Drawing Correct Conclusions

Sometimes when we're bored we like to write about the people who have amused us for some reason or other. Over the years we've published articles on the blog we've had one individual who, as a frequent reader, has often tried to rhetorically cross swords with us:

This wide-eyed waif is a young Tomasz Winnicki pictured at a time when he was innocent, hopeful, and had a full head of hair. Eventually Tommy would turn into this:

The years have not been very kind to Tom. Like the boy he was in the first photograph, this nearly 40 year old man-child also still live with his mother and still has difficulty cleaning his bedroom.

Does the term "arrested development" have any meaning, Tommy?

Our long time readers are by this point aware of Tommy and his unjustifiably inflated ego. In short, Winnicki believes himself to be a particularly brilliant chap and that that his ideological foes cower in the face of an obvious intellectual giant. Tommy certainly isn't shy about sharing with others how clever he believes he is:

The above post is based on Winnicki's perception of a discussion found here on the "London Free Press." In the echo chamber that is VNN, there are those who will likely believe that he is "schooling" the folks he describes as anti-racists. Then again, he also thought this was a legitimate argument concerning the recent national elections in Sweden:

We often like to poke Winnicki because.... well.... it's lots of fun. We also know that challenging his intelligence will result in a temper tantrum and Tommy did not fail to disappoint us:

Paul Fromm and the Morality of the Movement

October was a big month for Paul Fromm. He was running for mayor of Mississauga in an election which, if it can be believed, he actually did worse than in his previous effort. Earlier in the month he was in Budapest to attend and speak at a conference organized by the racist National Policy Institute, though that event didn't exactly go off without a hitch.

And just after the election at the end of the month, Paulie was once again an honored guest and speaker at Thomas Robb's Knights of the Ku Klux Klan annual European American Heritage Festival, organized both by Robb and his daughter Rachel Pendergraft, which purports to be a family friendly affair:

Now when we alluded to this apparent leak of photographs, one of the individuals who commented on the article made the following statement:

IMO this isn't relevant to ARC's mission. Paul Fromm is a fucking Nazi. His marital problems I could care less about.

We would be hard pressed to disagree with that statement, which is why we didn't post the images on the blog here and why we really haven't referred to them since. However, over the last couple of months we decided that they do have relevance.

Dean Clifford and Bill Noble: Emails

This day last November freeman-on-the-land guru, former active Stormfront member, and general nutter Dean Clifford was taken into custody during a seminar he was conducting in Ontario. Since that day, Clifford has been claiming that his release would be imminent as would be his take-down of the political and economic system in this nation. And despite his continued incarceration, which now includes charges that he made threats to directed at the police and court officials while in custody (we have at least one of those recordings saves), Clifford continues in his delusional belief that he has them all right where he wants them and that there will be hell to pay when he gets out. His supporters remain credulous in spite of all available evidence.

Today those supporters who run the website provided the world with a gift; 9+ hours of Dean Clifford's pseudo-legalistic mumbo jumbo. We here at ARC humbly would suggest being subjected to more than 9 hours of Dean Clifford would be far worse than the torture he claims that he has undergone while a guest of Her Majesty.

That noted, we thought we too might provide a gift to mark this auspicious occasion.

A couple of years back, some one or some group hacked a number of racist websites and email addresses. It just so happens that three of those email addresses belonged to Bill Noble, someone our readers are very familiar with. And Noble kept up a fairly extensive correspondence with Clifford from 2007 into at least 2011. Some of those correspondences were related to Noble's own case in which he was ultimately found guilty and sentenced to a term of four months followed by three years probation (which he immediately violated soon after his release with no apparent consequence):

Oh, perhaps we should have mentioned that Bill Noble once (and maybe still does) uses Adolf Hitler as means of identifying himself.

The name that Clifford signed as, "Sovereign" is significant in that it is what he used as his online moniker on Stormfront. In some of the emails that will follow Clifford will refer to posts he made on Stormfront. Since some of his acolytes refused to believe that Clifford (who threw quite a temper tantrum when we suggested we would be writing an article about him) was the racist we proved him to be, maybe this provides sufficient proof, however there will be more so stay tuned.

It looks like "Unit14"/"Jay Stone"/"Jay Smith"/"proudcracker420" might not have appreciated the article in which he was mentioned. We understand. In the article we dismissed him as an irrelevant carnival sideshow not worthy of anyone's time and attention.... and then proceeded to write about a loan misanthrope with delusions of grandeur living in Winnipeg who if we are to be honest isn't worth anyone's time or attention either.

That sort of cognitive dissonance  might scramble the brains of the average bonehead.

So on that note we will continue our profile of Jonathan Kotyk, a man who's name shines as brightly as such "White Nationalist" luminaries as Kevin Goudreau and Tomasz Winnicki:

We once again introduce our readers to Jonathan "vikingwarrior14" Kotyk on Stormfront. Kotyk often attempts to present himself as a "White Nationalist" man of action, philosopher, and intellectual:

Well then! We're sure someone who advocates for the adoption of a benign dictatorship governed by a philosopher king must have some brilliant ideas on how to govern a nation-state, particularly when he suggests that he himself already has most of the solutions to Canada's "problems" (it seems to us that he might like to be considered a future candidate for the philosopher king role he advocates).

Fromm Picks Up Levant's Islamaphobic Batton and Runs With It

On November 11, Ezra wrote an article accusing the Essex Board of Education in Ontario of exempting Muslims from participating in Remembrance Day and questioned the patriotism of Muslim Canadians. He suggested people who he outraged sign a petition that condemned the board's decision on a website his article linked to (Canada: Love It Or Leave) and, while there, to maybe purchase a charming t-shirt.

The problem with all of this is that none of it was true. Yes, there was a memo that went out from the school board which suggested alternative Remembrance Day commemorations, but the memo was directed at those schools where parents might have safety concerns as it had only been a couple of weeks since the murder of an honor guard at the Canadian War Memorial. The story was debunked as the product mainly of Levant's fevered, Islamaphobic, imagination, though he did do quite a good job of appealing to his xenophobic base of support.

One of those xenophobes though likely hats him as much as any Muslim though:

 

 

Yep, Paulie:

Really, it's not as if we should be surprised. Paulie might be an anti-Semite in addition to a racist, but he is also an opportunist and if there's any opening for him to inject his particular brand of Nativism and bigotry into the public sphere, he'll be in like Flynn.

Now, after a lot (and we mean a hell of a lot) of criticism, Levant backed down and even.... begrudgingly,... admitted he was wrong in the passive-aggressive way we have come to know and love from him. He also changed the website to omit mention of Muslims, though he still takes a crack at the school board:

He also noted that no parent in the entire Essex County School Board area had asked for an exemption for their child. In short, everyone participated.

So, the story ended in a bit of a whimper.

Ezra Levant, Hyde, and Appealing to the Id

Our erudite readers will all be well acquainted with this particular novel:

This writer is a fan of both Robert Louis Stevenson' and Sigmund Freud's work (though I actually prefer Jung and think his theories more relevant) so forgive me for the clumsiness when I discuss The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde through a brief Freudian analysis.

The character Hyde is the manifestation of "the id," the deep, reptilian part of the subconscious. The id is where our deepest impulses are located; lust, fear, hate:

[The id] is the dark, inaccessible part of our personality, what little we know of it we have learned from our study of the Dreamwork and of the construction of neurotic symptoms, and most of that is of a negative character and can be described only as a contrast to the ego. We approach the id with analogies: we call it a chaos, a cauldron full of seething excitations. ... It doesn't take a genius to realize the society that would exist if inhabited by people ruled only by their id would make anything Ayn Rand could dream up look like an altruistic utopia by comparison. Thankfully, in addition to the id we have the super-ego or, to overly simplify the concept, a conscious. The ability to discern right from wrong and to keep our id in check. In short, our Jekylls are stronger than our Hydes, at least most of the time.

We won't go into a lot of detail as Ezra Levant's latest screed has been pretty thoroughly debunked. In short, the Greater Essex County District School Board sent out a memo to schools where parents might have safety concerns about their children attending public Remembrance Day ceremonies given the shooting in Ottawa that left a soldier who was standing as an honor guard at the National War Memorial dead. School-based memorials would continue, and for those concerned about safety alternative way to honor those who served in the military were suggested.

Levant took the opportunity to twist the intent of the memo and claim it was an attempt to appease Muslims who secretly hate Canada:

It's been a while since ARC introduced a new character to the parade of misfits featured here on the blog, so while this writer was on a brief sabbatical she decided to do a little research on someone who's online activities reminded us a little of Tom Winnicki (who, given his most recent missive, isn't pleased to have his intelligence ridiculed; more on that at a later date):

Meet "Unit14." Well, actually "Unit14" is ostensibly the name of the "crew" this guy has established in BC, though at this point it appears that his is a crew of one. However, he was pretty damn ambitious in that he tried to crowdsource his new hate groups:

 

Bill Noble actually asked a legitimate question about this endeavor which, if we remember correctly, wasn't really addressed:

Not surprisingly, the fine folks at GoFundMe weren't so peachy keen to have their site used as a means of raising money for a neo-Nazi gang and it was shut down before it raised a dime. But even before "Unit14"/"Jay Stone"/"Jay Smith" had decided to crowdsource a hate group, he had first attempted to start another ambitious, though ultimately futile, project under the username, "proudcracker420":

A while back someone representing the UNP tried to leave a message on the blog announcing the formation of a new political party that would eventually be fielding candidates for federal office and, as such, forming the next government. We get delusional comments like these all the time and while we don't post them on the blog we do follow their efforts for shits and giggle. This case was no exception, though the UNP proved to be especially entertaining:

Ah! Here we have "vikingwarlord14," the main subject of this post finally. Now, with a name as grand as "vikingwarlord14" we expect he must be a rather imposing figure:

Anyways, "vikingwarlord14" was a very enthusiastic early supporter of the UNP as evidenced by many of his comments on the subject:

No Love From Sebastian For BC Nazi Fan

Christopher Sandau was fired by the North Delta Minor Hockey Association this past Saturday. Now, usually when a coach if fired, it is connected to some sort of abuse of his players. In this case, the reason is more novel:

A minor hockey coach in B.C. has been fired after posting images of Nazi propaganda to his Facebook page....

Holocaust denial isn't something one hears often in the hockey rink, but we digress:

Sandau's public Facebook profile featured several photos of Adolf Hitler and Nazisim before it was taken down on Wednesday. Images of swastikas had captions such as, "If this flag offends you, you need a history lesson" and "may god be with us and the truth prevail."

Other posts questioned how many people died during the Holocaust, and accused Jewish people of controlling banks and government.

Sandau's social posts contained "extreme and objectionable material believed to be incompatible" with the hockey association's promotion of good citizenship, said president Anita Cairney in a statement released to media. "The NDMHA requires that our coaches present themselves as positive role models for our children athletes."...

Thus far we haven't been able to determine is Sandau is a member of one of the hate sites we frequently visit and the story hasn't been the subject of a lot of discussion aside from a brief mention on Stormfront. However one of our little friends had considered using this particular incident as a public relations opportunity before ultimately deciding against it:

Dean Clifford Continues #Winning Streak

Last we heard about Dean Clifford, his people (specifically his brother) was bragging about how one of the charges against him had been dismissed:

Well that certainly seemed much more optimistic than the website update, quickly removed, by the previous webmaster who called Dean Clifford out as a fraud.

So, perhaps the Clifford clan is right? Maybe they are going to bring down the whole system and will be regarded as heroic figures akin to Gandhi or Rosa Parks?

Or maybe.... just maybe.... they aren't telling the whole truth because they are chronic liars?

Considering this, we think the answer s closer to the latter than it is the former:
