Hamilton, Halifax, and More on Pegida Rally in Toronto With Special Appearance by a Former Canadian Nazi Party Leader

ARC spent the weekend covering the Pegida rally in Toronto and counter-protest as well as the events that resulted afterward, however we neglected other important news of the day.

In Hamilton, the Yellow Vesters continued to protest outside city hall as they've done since the winter. The extremists who attacked members of the LGBTQ community at the Pride event the previous weekend weren't there as they were participating in the Toronto Pegida rally (and then assaulting counter-protesters there too), but there was still a contingent in Hamilton including a few familiar faces:

Justin Long, associate of Paul Fromm and antisemite in his own right, was expected to be present however this has marked one of the few times that Tim "Braying Jackass" Kelly and his Proud Boys (many of whom seem to have more gray hair than I do thus stretching the definition of "boy" well past their best before date) since the Tim vs. Tim episode.

Moving on to Halifax, Steven Garvey has been inexplicably trying to make inroads into a city that has no interest in him and his ideas. He's been told this in no uncertain terms but he just can't seem to let it go. This weekend he was shown yet again that he and his National Citizen's Alliance are not welcome:

Evidently 3 members/supporters of Garvey showed up at his rally.

They were met by 150 people who told him to take off:

As in Hamilton on June 15 and Toronto this past Saturday, there was an incident in which counter-protesters were attacked:

Oh, but don't worry. An arrest was made.... of someone who knocked off Garvey's baseball cap:

Some of the local media in turn is focused on whether or not it is polite to damage a racist sign:

Alternatively, they've decided to give a racist a platform:

Back to Toronto, Rick Boswick had a court appearance today for his harassment of a Toronto-area journalist. He has been ordered to make another appearance on July 15. In the meantime he claims that they have filed criminal charges against counter-protesters who, you know, they attacked on video.

But before I get to the rally, an interesting development has occurred:

ARC has written about John Beattie, former leader of the Canadian Nazi Party from back in the 1960s as well as the more current though equally racist British People's League, for years now. More information can be found on these sites in addition to ARC

The man is now in his 80s at least, but he's still as nasty a bigot as he ever was.

ARC has written about Beattie's support of the Canadian Nationalist Party led by Travis Patron, but it also seems that he has networked with people associated with the Pegida rally in Toronto on Saturday:

Special shout out to yours truly. ;)

The two individuals claim to have been present at the rally on the side of Pegida. They destroy the idea that Pegida Canada isn't anything but a hate group.

No doubt the people with Pegida will deny this, but given what their supporters such as Wayne Peters believe, it is hard for them to argue otherwise:

And the violence?

They're only fooling themselves if they genuinely believe themselves to be the victims:

March 30, 2019 Racist Rally in Edmonton Part II: Counter-Protester Assaulted and Soldier of Odin Member Taken Into Custody

Much like Vancouver and Toronto, it looked like the most recent Worldwide Coalition Against Islam (WCAI) event in Edmonton would yet again fail to feature anyone actually associated with the WCAI. Certainly some of the Canadian Combat Coalition members back in Ontario appeared to be rather frustrated by yet another no-show:

However while ARC initially reported that the racist rally organized by Joey Deluca of the WCAI with participation of groups such as the Soldiers of Odin, Northern Guard, and Canadian Combat Coalition failed to launch, it turns out that they were waiting until they thought there wouldn't be anyone there to spoil their fun:

Ah, there's the casual racism and threats of violence that we've come to expect from Joey.

Later in the video, cut off because Dubois' batter died, Deluca continued his racist anti-immigrant missive referring to immigrants from developing countries as "sewage" and further dehumanizing rhetoric:

Now this sort of turns out to be rather awkward considering Deluca's association with the reactionary Yellow Vest movement in Canada and their claims to being opposed to racism and in favor of legal immigration:

Readers will also remember this video published by ARC on March 16:

ARC has written extensively about Jeff Sharpe in the past. According to our friends in Edmonton, he is currently involved in a power struggle to control the Yellow Vests in Edmonton:

He was also involved in promoting the Yellow Vest event that was swamped by counter-protesters earlier today:

Well isn't it funny that Jeff Sharpe who claims that racism isn't a part of the Yellow Vest protests is present with racist Joey Deluca and the WCAI as well as the Soldiers of Odin, CCC, and Northern Guard:

International bankers eh?

Dude, aren't you even going to bother trying not to sound antisemitic?

Now, the racists, antisemites, and Islamophobes did discuss the earlier counter-rally and though they attempt to make fun of them with the tired, "mom's basement" and "they had to take mass transit" (which is something many of their supporters likely rely on in major cities so not much of an insult) it is clear they were rattled:

The remainder of the video was devoted to highlighting some of the people who attended including Win Nay, misogynist Adam Stevenson of Onward Christian Soldiers, and a few Northern Guard and Nouns of Odin, one of whom was very proud that his SoO chapter was "Finland approved" which again might be a bit problematic considering the Finnish parent club was started by an overt neo-Nazi:

With knowledge that the bigots would be returning to the legislature, anti-fascists in the city oraganized on pretty short notice and managed to counter the boneheads in numbers that were at first smaller but looked to be growing as more became aware of what was happening:

In the end it was more of a cameo as they spent between 15 minutes and half an hour at the legislature and left before their numbers could again be swamped by counter-protesters:

I'm sure that they will.

Dubois posted a video (must have found a charger) in which he speaks about how clever they are:

Now, while the boneheads were chased off, they did find time to assault some of the counter-protesters:

I did see two clips of members of the Northern Guard and Soldiers of Odin shouting homophobic slurs and threats at counter-protesters whom they encountered followed by the assault. There will be more on that, but though more than one bonehead was involved, only one Noun of Odin was taken into custody; I'm not sure if he was arrested or released later.

In any case, I would urge anyone who can to head to the Edmonton legislature tomorrow with the awareness that you might have to move to other locations as the boneheads try to avoid being opposed.

Joey Deluca of WCAI Planning Rally in Edmonton on March 29. He Should Be Prepared O Be Laughed At.... Again

Sometimes I come across information in a rather round-about way. For example years ago I found myself reading an article on Wikipedia and realized that I had forgotten how I had gotten there. I just started clicking links from the original piece I had been looking up so I had to backtrack. FYI, one can get to an Asian warlord of the 13th century by originally looking up information on an actor who starred in a 1990s medical drama in 12 clicks.

Such is the case with this:

But lets start and the beginning which was about three weeks ago.

I hadn't been looking at posts on Stormfront in some time so I decided to see what was new. Truth be told, not much. A few of the usual suspects remain posting in the Canadian section, but for all intents and purposes it is a bit of a ghost town there. Still, one post by Bill Noble caught my attention:

I had known that George Burdi had come out as a white nationalist after close to two decades of claiming to have rejected the ideology in part due to his stint in prison. I was genuinely saddened when I learned this because a big part of the reason I do this is because of the hope that people can change. I still believe this to be true, but one has to want to change and I don't think Burdi really did despite his claims he did.

In any case, it didn't take long for Kevin "No Show" Goudreau to offer his $0.02. (incidentally, he appears to have failed to show up at a March 21 rally he claimed to have organized; I know you're as surprised as I am).

Where No Show earned his nickname.

Goudreau is a narcissistic nobody who likes to present himself as the nexus of the white nationalist movement during the past 30 years based primarily on his 4 second appearance in the documentary "Hearts of Hate" and decades later an appearance in the "National Post." And of course in his response he Goudreaus all over the place:

Goudreau was called out by someone on the forum because even some boneheads know a bullshitter when they come across one:

We also had an appearance from Tom Trenerry:

Trenerry hadn't posted on SF for at least 10 years by by count, but back when he was hanging out with the Aryan Guard/Blood & Honour he was a frequent posted using numerous usernames as he was frequently being banned for threatening other forum members. He hadn't been in ARC's sights for years until his association with the reactionary Yellow Vests protests and shacking up with Dara "Nazi Mom" Graham:

Still, it was funny to read this since not long ago Trenerry and Goudreau seemed to get along:

It goes without saying that Trenerry also isn't a fan of ARC:

However his post on SF mentioning Joey Deluca and the Worldwide Coalition Against Islam and this post on Twitter reminded me....

.... what IS Joey up to lately?

Far Right Losing Collective Mind Over Islamic Party of Ontario Attempt To Register As An Official Party

Imagine that a political party has emerged which condemns secularism and the separation of church and state, promotes the recriminalization of homosexuality, strong censorship of what it deems to be blasphemous, adherence to strict gender rolls, and which advocates the for their religious views to become the law of the land. In Canada, that has been a reality since 1987 when the Christian Heritage Party emerged.

A year after it came into existence, the CHP won 102,533 votes in the 1988 federal election. Since that time support for the CHP has declined; after temporarily losing official part status they won 10,110 votes in the 2000 election while their lowest vote tally with party status was 15,284 in 2015. Still, the party remains and will likely run in the next federal election on this platform, choice portions of which I've included below:

In general, most Canadians recognize the CHP and other similar religious based parties that have come and gone as being on the political fringes with no real chance of attaining power on their own. Of course this doesn't preclude other groups and individuals who hold similar views from influencing mainstream political parties:

Still, political parties such as the CHP are generally ignored as being rather irrelevant.

Such is also the case for the relatively new Islamic Party of Ontario, a group so fringe that it barely has an online presence:

Not yet a political party, should they ever run candidates the Islamic Party of Ontario will have likely even less of an impact than the CHP has in Canada; I can't imagine the IPO breaking 1000 votes in all of the province. That said based on what little there is online their positions are as extreme as that of the CHP. One thing that is certain is that the current leadership (and perhaps only member) of the IPO is a fan of what Doug Ford has done in the province of Ontario already:

Basically, a social conservative party that is similar to that of the CHP. In fact if you were to replace "Bible" with "Quran" in the CHP platform and vice versa for the the limited amount of information on the IPO, they would be almost indistinguishable.

However this hasn't stopped the far-right Islamophobes from losing their shit:

Goldy's claim regarding the founding of the IPO may not be true as I
remember a news article that predate Goldy's and Loomer's stunt by a
few months.... though damn if I can find it now.

I might note here that of the 82 people who were following the Islamic Party of Ontario Twitter account, fully half of them appear to be conservatives and right-wing nationalists who oppose the fringe party including Goldy....

.... and Georgeanne Burke who has been featured twice on the blog:

There is also this woman who has followed the account and who has posted and retweeted some rather incendiary comments:

Two are of special concern. Islamophobe Eric Brazau has created a caricature of a Muslim extremists that he has been using spread his hatred; Ms. Forbes re-tweeted a video in which he makes incendiary comments without questioning the source:

In another tweet she suggests that she is ready to use violence to oppose not just the political party but Islam in general and a desire to join the virulently Islamophobic III% militia:

I might also mention that she's okay with Dara "Nazi Mom" Graham and her involvement with the reactionary Yellow Vests Canada protests:

I can't help noticing that a video lasting several minutes has been edited to include only 8 seconds.

Now all of this would be the reaction that one might expect from the equally fringe far-right. Unfortunately, enablers in both the media and politics have decided to magnify the issue for their own rather cynical purposes.

First Tarek Fatah who writes for the "Toronto Sun" wrote a hyperbolic article about the founding of the fringe party (not the one he linked to in the screen shot below). A man who appears to treat every Islamophobic conspiracy theory with credulity, Fatah also couldn't help injecting himself into the story:
