Reactionary Yellow Vest Protesters Feeling Heat

It has been a while since ARC has discussed the seemingly marginally employed transient Steven Myatt, and I don't plan on going into a lot of detail. He's now living in Calgary and has unsurprisingly hooked up with local extremists, including the reactionary Yellow Vest protesters. Yesterday he posted the following urgent declaration:

Scared? Well, perhaps but not exactly in the way that he might want to believe.

The Yellow Vesters have been the subject of numerous stories in the media of late focusing on the racism of much of the membership as well as the calls to violence:

Here are a few of the more tepid examples:

I could post a lot more, but I really think readers should (if they haven't already) check out Yellow Vests Canada Exposed which has been doing an incredible job of cataloging the ugliness from the various Yellow Vests Facebook groups that have sprung up in the country:

They certainly have the bad guys spooked:

In any case getting back to Myatt, the reaction was as one would have expected:

Conflicting Ottawa Convoy Commitments Create Controversy

In following the reactionary Yellow Vests protests in Canada, there has already been a great deal of factionalism within that movement.

Now there's trouble between adjacent movements:

Now Bernard Hancock (who has blocked ARC's Twitter account even though I have never been in contact with him via that means) has a hate on for the reactionary Yellow Vesters even though he kind of, sort of, ran in the same crowd for some time; he was at an event organized by the Worldwide Coalition Against Islam in Calgary and an event hosted by Jeff Sharpe in Edmonton. That said I can't necessarily argue with him regarding the absolute embarrassment that the reactionary Yellow Vesters really are. However I wonder if he would even pay attention to them if not for the fact there is a Yellow Vests Canada convoy to Ottawa that is competing with the one that Hancock in involved with. Moreover, the Yellow Vests convoy Go Fund Me has already raised substantially more (in the $60,000 range) than the "official" convoy to Ottawa rally Hancock has raised (around $11,000 last time I checked).

Bernard isn't pleased:

The link to the article Hancock posted can be found here.

More from this thread:

This has resulted in a rather robust discussion:

Now I can't say one way or another whether or not Hancock's suggestions are accurate, but it isn't as if this would be the first time someone involved in the reactionary Yellow Vests protest was proven to be dishonest.

For example, Tyler Malenfant, the founder and administrator of the biggest reactionary Yellow Vests social media site, is once again claiming that the antisemitic and racist rhetoric he posted online in 2015 which ARC covered then wasn't him even though it was CLEARLY him. His lies are especially transparent in the "Edmonton Star" article published Friday that focused on extremism within the reactionary Yellow Vests movement:
The Yellow Vests Canada Facebook page lists a “Tyler Malenfant” as its administrator. The same Facebook profile was used to post comments on an Al Jazeera news article about a Jewish conspiracy to “destroy” Christianity and replace North America’s white majority through a concerted effort of mass migration.
When asked about his comments on the news article, the user of the profile deleted the comments and denied they ever existed. The user said the screenshots StarMetro took were fake.
I'll get back to this article in a moment, but recently I received a number of screen shots from the group Malenfant administers that I'd like to share:

Money Money Money: Faith Goldy Tries to Pay Legal Bill and Tyler Malenfant of Yellow Vests Canada Promotes Vague Fund Raiser

When ARC learned that, in addition to the $50,000 legal bill owed to her lawyer, Faith Goldy would also be hit with an additional $43,000 in court costs to Bell Canada I knew that she would face this challenge with grace and dignity.... if by grace and dignity I really meant crying, gnashing teeth, and begging:

Those last two tweets will become relevant soon enough.

If one had gone to her Go Fund Me page, one would notice that every single person who contributed was a male because despite her recent marriage they STILL are desperate to get her into bed which is really pathetic.

Still, she does have her female supporters, one of whom post the following onto Tyler Malenfant's Yellow Vests Canada Facebook page:

The subsequent discussion which includes former III% member and former leader Beau Welling, Freebird Media personality and ethno-nationalist Alexander Van Hamme, and Georges Hallak quickly turned into a farce (more so) when someone successfully trolled the lot of them:

Unfortunately, the fun didn't last:

No exaggeration. Her GFM profile really was taken down that quickly:

:)

UPDATE: Goldy has a very high opinion of herself as she whines.

Coincidentally, Goldy wasn't the only person involved in this past Saturday's reactionary Yellow Vests protest in Toronto to grift fund raise:

Tyler Melenfant, a man who has a history of posting racist, Islamophobic, and antisemitic rhetoric, is trying to raise $4000 for the following:

And despite most of these people knowing of Malenfant for at best a week and in some cases claiming to be unemployed and hard up for money, there are those who seem willing to pony up:

The reason why Cruise feels Melanfant is trustworthy is.... well.... you sort of have to see it to believe it (even though you won't be at all surprised):

Having his photo taken in front of Trump Tower is enough to make Cruise trust that Malenfant is on the level.

If that's the case, I should even be more trustworthy since when I was recently in New York, I had my picture taken in front of Trump Tower not once, not twice, but thrice! Sure, two of those pictures involved me impotently giving the building the middle finger which did nothing other than temporarily make me feel better since buildings are non-living, unconscious, structures devoid of any emotions.... but yeah! I sure showed THAT assemblage of steel and masonry what's what!

Now while many people are as credulous (one might uncharitably suggest gullible) as Cruise, others are a might bit suspicious. The following is part of the very lengthy exchange that took place on the thread which involves the usual backbiting:

Far-right Canadian Yellow Vest Reactionaries - Promoters of Violence and Conspiracy Theories, Already At Each Others' Throats

As they did last week when they unoriginally co-opted the French Yellow Vest protests (Mouvement des gilets jaunes), the far-right reactionaries organized another Saturday of protests in a number of Canadian cities. In most cases the numbers were down significantly from the previous Saturday (and even then outside Ottawa, Calgary, and Edmonton they weren't much to speak of). However Calgary and Edmonton still appear to have numbered in the 100s.... though even this is a bit of conjecture since many law enforcement officers were also wearing yellow safety vests:

At least some of the co-ordination for these protests is occurring on Yellow Vests Canada.

Currently there are roughly 65,000 members of the group, though I suspect that most of those who were added, like those in the past who had been added to the WCAI group, aren't really aware of what the group is about since members could add others fairly indiscriminately. Also, before making it a closed group, there were quite a few people taking the "true believers" to task:

Tyler Malenfant is the founder and administrator of this and a few other Yellow Vest Facebook groups. It might be of interest then to ARC readers to note that Malenfant is someone who has appeared on the blog back in December 2015 in relation to his apparent connection to Students For Western Civilization, something that a number of readers noticed even before I did:

Malenfant eventually responded and his explanation for his racist and antisemitic posts is absolutely hilarious:

Malenfant claims the screen shots of his posts are fake, which suggests he expects people to believe that ARC posted fake screen shots in December 2015 knowing that in November 2018 massive protests would occur in France resulting in Canadian far-right supporters co-opting the imagery of said protests in December 2018 and that Malenfant would become an organizer in this astroturf movement... all in an effort to discredit him.

Sure or, and stay with me on this, might a simpler explanation be that Malenfant posted racist and antisemetic comments three years ago and now he's desperate to try and explain them away even though one can still see many of these posts online?

I mean, either/or, right?

January 2016: Bits and Bites

In our previous article we noted the reaction of the anti-refugee folks on social media paying specific attention to a few Facebook groups. And we received condemnation from the usual suspect about how intolerant we were for commenting on the extremist nature of the comments. However, on twitter, we received feedback from from someone quite unexpected:

Have to say, were were quite pleased to see that Paulie was finally interested in playing as for the longest time he had difficulty even saying or writing out name, never mind attempting to engage us in a discussion. Not wanting to pass up the opportunity, we sent him a follow-up since we've had a question that Paulie is uniquely qualified to answer:

Thus far, Paulie has not responded. We'll be sure to keep our readers up to date however.

Students For Western Civilization: Trolls, But Still Interesting (Part II)

In late November we published an article about a group trying to establish itself in a number of Canadian and American universities and colleges. While Students For Western Civilization may or may not be a hoax, we still consider the topic to be of some interest in that some previously unnamed individuals who we've been looking at for a few years have popped up in relation to the group.

When VICE published an article on this movement back in September, we began to focus on some of the people who were posting in the comments section. Two in particular jumped out at us:
