Brad Love, Michelle Erstikaitis, and Luka Magnotta

This is going to be a little bit rambling and surreal. Please bare with us.

Most of our readers are aware of who Brad Love is. For those who don't know who he is, he's a 55ish year old man who has been, for decades, mailing racist screeds to public officials. Not just one or 10 or 100, but 1000s (one wonders where he finds the time). His harassment of politicians and public officials goes back more than 20 years in fact (we will provide excerpts from an article below detailing this fact):

'Scurrilous' mail nets 20 days in jail

Toronto Star - Toronto, Ont
Farrell Crook
Feb 16, 1993

A Mississauga man has been jailed 20 days for mailing "scurrilous" material involving racial and ethnic minorities to two Toronto-area members of Parliament.

...
The Brampton judge said he was not imprisoning Love, 35, for the views he holds, but for using the mails to send two MPs scurrilous material.

An Interesting Development in Our Identification of Boneheads

Yesterday we started publishing the unidentified boneheads, some of whom are found in this picture:

One of the guys we were wondering about was this fella here:

Hey, nice Schutzstaffel you got on your collar buddy. Sort of something that might be able to use to help identify you. Or at the very least pick you out of other pictures.

Lemire Appeal Dismissed

Marc Lemire.... well.... why don't we just let you, our dear readers, take a look for yourselves:

Here's an unsolicited tip. You request a stay? Might be helpful to include some evidence.

Sort of like we did regarding Lemire's affiliation with (and later leadership of) the Heritage Front.

"Marc Lemire: Summary of Information"

Just say'n....

UPDATE 1: Lemire seems upset:

Saturday, November 03, 2012

And the Basis For the Lemire Appeal Is....

.... sort of pathetic.

For those readers who don't have fantastic eyesight, here it is broken down:

We've said it before here and we'll say it again.

Gotta love public documents.

Marc Lemire is Appealing

Well, not appealing in any physical sense of the word. Let's face it, the dude should lay off the French crullers.

No, Marc Lemire, former member and the last leader of the Heritage Front (despite his denial) is appealing the recent decision concerning the constitutionality of the Canadian Human Rights Act. BCL beat us to the punch on this, but he also beat Lemire to it so, we're okay with that.

Warman Wins. Lemire Loses.

You've got to love it when the good guy wins in the end.

Only a small part of the document, but you get the idea.

We fully expect the usual suspects will react as they have been conditioned to react.

Apoplectic rage.

Have fun with that.

Continuing Our Heritage Front Project (And An Examination of Marc Lemire: Part XI)

We are still continuing our project of documenting the history of the Heritage Front by collecting photographs, letters, and hate propaganda from the period between 1989 and 1994 when the hate group was at it's peak, 1995 to 1999 when the group was in decline after Elisse Hategan testified against the leadership and Bristow had become known as a CSIS mole, and 2001 to 2005 when Marc Lemire attempted, and ultimately failed, to revive the hate group under his leadership. We are also eager to receive any other information that could be provided, be it related to the Heritage Front or any other Canadian hate group (we did receive some very interesting documents concerning the Western Guard not long ago).

Not long ago we received a parcel containing copies of "The HF Report" which was the Heritage Front journal that existed after "UpFront" was discontinued; the publication of "The HF Report" took place between 1997 and 1999. However, we should have looked closer, as we also found a copy of "UpFront" which we have already mentioned here on this blog in relation to our documentation of Marc Lemire's Heritage Front connection:

Response to the Demise of Sec. 13 in "Maclean's"

Earlier today, we were contacted by "Maclean's" and asked about our take on the demise of Sec. 13. We responded as follows:
We think that the government was incredibly short sighted in their decision to eliminate Sec. 13. It was a useful and cost-effective tool in the effort to eliminate some very vile, hateful, and potentially dangerous rhetoric online and in the public sphere. Now we have only the criminal code which, in a few cases, is like using a machete when a scalpel would have been more prudently utilized.

Those individuals and groups who were called before the Human Rights Tribunal and who were found to have violated Sec. 13 were not innocent lambs who were victimized by Big Brother. They were people and groups who were causing real harm in their communities. Their words did result in harm, and I don't mean hurt feelings. People's homes were vandalized. People have been assaulted. And these criminal acts had, in many cases, began with the dehumanization of fellow Canadians for no other reason than their ethnicity, religion, gender and sexual orientation.
The people who are celebrating this are the extremists on Stormfront and VNN and a host of other racist webforums, but as we wrote on our blog they should consider that now there is only the criminal code and the penalties are more severe than anything Sec. 13 dished out. It should also be noted that racists aren't content with only Sec. 13. Paul Fromm, for instance, has said he and his group will next focus their attention on the criminal code sections regarding hate crimes.
We get the impression that the "Maclean's" in which Sec. 13 will be discussed is coming out this week. We don't expect that our entire response will be published, or if any of it will be for that matter, but if it is we thought we'd include the entirely of our response here.

And as for the responses from the boneheads, we present a small selection:

Dennis Mahon and the Canadian Connection

Dennis Mahon was convicted of
sending a bomb in the mail and
sentenced to 40 years in prison.
As we continue our project of gathering historical documents about the Canadian racist movement, we will also continue to comment on contemporary news stories related to that project, such as this story on American extremist Dennis Mahon.

On February 26, 2004, Don Logan of the Scottsdale, Arizona Office of Diversity and Dialogue, severely injuring him. After a 5 year investigation, Dennis Mahon, his twin brother Daniel and one other man were arrested on June 26, 2009 and charged in the mail bombing. On May 22, Dennis Mahon, who had been found guilty in February, was sentenced to 40 years in prison. At 61 years, he is likely to die in prison.

Luka Magnotta. White Nationalist???

When we first heard that Luka Rocco Magnotta was the prime suspect in the murder and dismemberment of Jun Lin, there were a few things we knew for certain. Such as the fact that he was a gay pornstar who dated Karla Homolka once she was released from prison.

Except, as it turns out, we really don't know all of this to be a fact.

There is not any significant evidence he appeared in pornography, be it straight or gay. No evidence he was a model. No evidence that he date Homolka. Nothing other than what he, himself, has claimed.

And, if we are to be honest, the evidence that he was a, "White Nationalist" isn't exactly clear either.

White Nationalists Are Hurting in Canada

So, question for our dedicated readers.

Have you noticed how little activity there has been online when it comes to Canadian boneheads?

The Internet was a boon to "White Nationalists" in Canada and around the world. Up until the mid 1990s, boneheads were relatively isolated in places outside big cities, and even there you really had to know someone if you wanted to be a part of the Movement. However, when sites like Stormfront was started by Don Black (and Freedom-Site by Marc Lemire in Canada), these isolated misfits found a community of like-minded racists, anti-Semites, and bigots. The Internet became a potent tool to recruit boneheads and was used to organize in ways not possible before.

Our membership has watched this develop since the early days of the Internet (don't think for a moment we've only been around since 2007 when this blog went online). We watched hate groups proliferate online to the point where they began marching on the street. We watched as hate groups grew increasingly bolder and more brazen.

We watched. We learned.

Blast from The Past: Nationalist Party of Canada and the Western Guard

UPDATE 3 (replacing UPDATE 1): Never mind. :)

A little while ago we spoke of our interest in documenting the rise and fall of the Heritage Front (and yes, Grant Bristow and CSIS play a significant role in that history, "Narrow Back"). We have received some information and photos, but we thought we would take this opportunity to remind our readers that we would still like your help.

Some of the information we have received actually goes WAY back. Those who know the history of the Heritage Front are aware that it was created by disaffected members of Don Andrews' Nationalist Party of Canada. Nationalist Party members Droege, Bristow, and Lincoln founded the Heritage Front soon after they returned from Libya after attending the the twentieth anniversary celebration of the invitation of the Gaddafi regime, as they felt that the Nationalist Party was no longer an effective means of pursuing their goals. In that sense, the Nationalist Party (according to their own family tree) might be thought of as the Heritage Front's daddy:

Hmmm, we guess then that the Western Guard would be the grand daddy and Paul Fromm's Edmund Burke Society would be the great grand daddy.

Free Dominion and JT Ready: Missing the Point. Again.

It didn't take too long for one of our most faithful readers to report back to our friends at Free Dominion regarding our post on their reaction to the JT Ready murders/suicide here:

And here.

And the reaction? Inevitable:

An Examination of Marc Lemire: Part X

First, we thought we would post a transcript detailing the heady days when "White Nationalists" would roll on their fellow travellers:

Marc Lemire kindly provided some of the evidence with which Craig Harrison was found in violation of the Canadian Human Rights Act.

Speaking of Marc Lemire, we simply can't get past this statement that he made during an appearance on Ezra Levant's program, "The Source":
Uh, the Heritage Front uh, was active back in, uh, the the 90s and I was a young kid at the time. I had some, uh, interest in some of the things that they were doing in particularly thing like uh opposition to employment equity, things like reducing immigration. So I uh, listened to some of what they were about, and uh, I went away from it. I mean I was involved with them peripherally in my teenage years.
We know. We've been beating this dead horse for a while now (see this particular post which , but we decided that when we first heard Lemire lie about his past, we would use every opportunity we could to prove him to be lying.

So here we go. Again.

Heritage Front Project

As we're in a bit of a lull right now (and that is decidedly a very good thing) we thought we would start some work on a project that we had considered long ago but had put on the back burner. However we will need the help of our readers.

In 1989, perhaps the most "successful" hate group in Canadian history, the Heritage Front, was formed. It's heyday was between 1989 and early 1994, though it did continue in a much weakened state until 2005 when it finally ceased to exist.

We would like to document, as much as we can, the history of this group.

We are looking for examples of Heritage Front propaganda, newspaper clippings, and photos of the group (individual members, meetings/rallies held, encounters with antifa, informal gatherings, etc) between 1989 and 2005, with a special focus on the years between 1989 and 1999 (though the period between 2001 and 2005 is also of particular interest).

If you have any items that could be scanned and emailed to us, our address is as follows:

arc.collective200 (at) gmail.com

Since the Heritage Front was founded almost a generation ago now, we'd sort of like to collect this information before much more of it is lost to time.We know that there are antifa and former HF members (who have rejected racism since they left the hate group) who have items that have not yet found their way into the public realm as yet and, from an historical point of view, these items would be of great interest to not only ourselves, but academia.

To those who are willing to help us out, we thank you.

Paul Fromm: The Veil of Respectability Slips a Little More

You know it's amazing what a few weeks off will do for one's mental well-being. On April 1 when I announced I was taking a break from the blog, I really wasn't intending on coming back, at least not any time soon. But after a weak of tanning, reading, and drinking, I felt a lot better. And when I returned from my vacation, I learned that Kyle McKee, Bernie Miller, and one other dude had been arrested.

So I'm back. Miss me?

One person (among the many I'm sure) who hasn't missed me is Paulie. I wanted to send him a note of Facebook letting hims know I was back, but sadly, found only this:

The page you requested was not found.

You may have clicked an expired link or mistyped the address. Some web addresses are case sensitive.
  • Return home
  • Go back to the previous page
Tsk, so soon after being purged the last time. Paulie is going to be mighty angry.

We expect that Paulie will be back again, but I thought I would share with our dear readers some of the wit and wisdom posted to his profile before he was most recently, and unceremoniously, dumped by Facebook again.

Rob de Chazal: The Lemire Connection

A friend forwarded us a number of interesting screen shots from some of the hacked emails, including those from Kermit the Frog impersonator Bill Noble.

Since one of our focuses is currently on Rob de Chazal (who, along with Shawn Macdonald and Alastair Miller, is accused of a series of assaults), we did a little search and were surprised at what we found because it was really quite unexpected.

Back in late 2004, former WCFU co-founder and leader Glenn Bahr decided that he was going to engage in a massive (from his standpoint) flyering campaign to get out the "White Nationalist" message which would take place on January 15, 2005:

On this Stormfront thread, Bahr and other "White Nationalists" discuss how they will proceed and, once the campaign was over, brag about the success:

"Why deny the Holocaust? I for one welcome it!": Rob de Chazal on Stormfront

After learning of the arrests of the three Blood & Honour members accused of a series of assaults in Vancouver, we spent some time looking at the online history of Shawn Macdonald (even though he did try to cover his tracks) but we haven't spent a lot of time looking at the other two accused. That was a mistake because at least one of those accused, Rob de Chazal, was at one time not at all shy about sharing his views.

First, a point of clarification. De Chazal has used quite a few online monikers. On Stormfront, he started as "LaundryBob" before asking it to be changed to, "Hapmaldroid" and then finally, "vonKvltvs88." On the old WCFU forums he was "Rob88." And on the Hamerskins forum, he's known as "Chernobog." We note this to both clear up any potential confusion and to indicate that Rob de Chazal appears to have had some identity issues.

Further, to answer the question, "are you sure this guy is Rob?" we offer the following proof:

It might surprise some of our readers to know just how long de Chazal has been involved in some form of organized racism. He registered on Stormfront in late 2001 while still in high school and really left nothing to the imagination when it came to his beliefs:
