Faith Goldy Displays Her Understanding of Gun Safety At Roger Stone's and Milo Yiannopoulos' Discount "Eyes Wide Shut" Party

So on Monday Doug Ford was forced to comment on his encounter at Ford Fest with Faith Goldy and her entourage of neo-fascists.... er.... fine, upstanding, totally-having-loads-of-sex-with-ALL-the-women, young men.

And in totally not shocking news, Ford seems okay with it all:

Considering how the PCO approval rating is currently tanking after only a few months in office, I'm not so sure I would want to be saddled with a reputation of refusing denounce someone on the far-right who is comfortable associating with neo-Nazis, but what do I know?

However, I thought I'd share something that came my way via some genuinely very fine people (passed on to moi by a friend of a mutual friend) that, while having little to do with the Toronto mayoral campaign, does shed a bit of light on the "alt-right" web of connections of which Ms. Goldy is a part of.

Back in May 2017, Cassandra Fairbanks, a Trump supporter who runs in alt-right circles, was present at Roger Stone's home (at least that is how it was described to me) in Miami where he was hosting a party for pedophile apologist Milo Yiannopoulos that was being called Cinco de Milo.

Get it? Huh? HUH?!?

It's funny because they're all assholes.

Fairbanks was present in part because she was scheduled to interview Stone the next day, though given how soused she appeared in the video as she narrates, she seems to have imbibed a fair amount so she might not be asking any hardball questions.... I can't say she wouldn't ask for a highball though.

I'm here all week folks! Try the veal and please remember to tip your server!

How can I describe the setting to establish the mood?

Well, there is a definite "ick" factor. I mean, I'm not sure I would have attended unless all my vaccinations were up to date and even then I wouldn't touch anything. At one point Fairbanks says she wasn't wearing her shoes. I hope that she had a whole lot of penicillin the next day or, hell, just burnt off her feet to be safe.

Really, the whole ambiance reminded me of a stereotypical nightclub in Russia frequented by members of the mafia, but not one of the good clubs. More like one frequented by forth tier mobsters who run a blue jeans smuggling ring and who head into Uryupinsk for a good time.

I also had the unnerving feeling that there was a porn movie being shot upstairs. Perhaps several.

If you think I'm exaggerating about any of this, here is the host on the night of the party:

I don't care who you are, the dude is creepy af.

The video begins with a seemingly inebriated Yiannopoulos speaking profanely with three members of the Miami Police Department. It seems that the police officers are big fans and joke around with him and tell him why they were called and who made the noise complaint. Later Jack Posobiec repeats what the police said early in the video; that they had been called on a noise complaint. Posobiec, who described the police as "based" further repeated that the police told Yiannopoulos who had made the complaint (Bill Maher) and that there would likely be more, though these particular cops didn't appear to plan on doing anything about any future noise complaints because screw the man!

.... even if you are "the man."

Nice to see though that the Miami Police Department have officers who will pick and choose what laws to enforce depending upon if they like the subject of the complaint and then further potentially endanger the person making the complaint by identifying him. Nicely done!

And damn it, you made me sympathize with Bill Maher! That alone is unforgivable!

But I digress.

Faith Goldy was also at the party. Though most of the participants were deep into their cups, she appears to be relatively more lucid by comparison. Still, for a woman who claims that part of her mayoral campaigns' platform focuses on safety and gun violence, they are all hella unsafe when handling the AR15 that they are passing around and pointing at people (around the 8:00ish minute or so):

Now I'm no big city lawyer, but I can't help thinking that a group of people who are intoxicated passing around a potentially deadly weapon isn't a very good idea.

Oh, but she does look so happy though!

Introducing the ID Canada Members Flyering At University of Calgary

I think it is noteworthy that many of the white nationalists/supremacists who have lately been proclaiming that they are not ashamed to be "proud of their race" seem to really want to hide in the shadows when doing anything to express their pride.... almost as if they know that they should be embarrassed by their actions:

These were being posted around the grounds of the main campus of the University of Calgary around 10:00 pm on September 12. Now normally these kind of posters appear without anyone seeing who put them up. In this case however the ID Canada members (or supporters if not full members) were caught in the act:

I was asked not to post the video, but I took a few more screen shots. What is amusing, at least to me, is how uncomfortable and guilty-looking these two dude-bros looked when confronted:

Yep, a couple of alphas right there.

In any case, if anyone has more information, don't be shy about sending it my way:

UPDATE: We have some identifications. The dumpy-looking guy is Jake Logan Findell.

Findell was also present at the WCAI rally in front of City Hall in Calgary on June 3, 2017.

And though I didn't notice before, the person who sent information on Findell noticed from video footage that Paul Fromm was also present at the June 3 rally:

State of the Far-Right: We Must Remain Vigilant

After the humiliation the far right faced not only in Toronto this past Saturday but also in Washington D.C. on Sunday (to add insult to injury, the organizer of the failed D.C. "Unite the Right 2" rally was emasculated during a podcast by his father), anti-racist and anti-fascist activists are rightfully celebrating as their hard work made all of this happen. The far-right racists, Islamophobes, and antisemites are a fractured movement right now and it really is hard to see how they coalesce in any significant way to hold the mass rallies they envision in an attempt put on a show of strength, though I don't doubt that they will continue to try.

It is important however not to be lulled into a false sense of security:

"Fantastic banner drop"? "Operation"? Jesus, this is a far cry from Barbarossa.
ID Canada (formerly Generation Identity Canada) did a banner drop on the same day as the failed WCAI-organized rally in the Don Valley River Parkway in Toronto. I don't no the city, but those who do suggest that it was likely the bridge connecting Riverdale Park East and West. Based on photos posted to their Facebook page, it looks like a little over a dozen ID Canada members were present:

Is it just me, or does this look like if could be a great cover photo for a magazine named "Incel Quarterly"?

ARC has already established that ID Canada is tied to a number of individuals and groups in Canada of concern:
....Shawn Beauvois-Macdonald who is/was connected to La Meute and who participated in the Charlottesville "Unite the Right" rally (he may hold a position of leadership within ID Canada), "Katrin Kujo" (real name Kate Ollers) who participated in Ronny Cameron's anti-Muslim event in October, and "Winston Smith" (real name Jesse Sanderson) who also participated in Cameron's event as well as being busted hanging "alt-right" flyers at the University of Toronto
More recently, ARC published a story that identified Athan Zafirov as the leader of the Montreal chapter of ID Canada. Zafirov is also known as "Date" on the leaked Discord chat logs and was a frequent guest on the Canadian alt-right podcast "This Hour Has 88 Minutes" which shut down soon after the identity of "Zeiger" as Gabriel Sohier Chaput was published. Other co-hosts of the podcast were exposed later:
ARC has been able to identify least two individuals participating in the ID Canada banner drop on August 11:

Tyler Hover has been identified as the leader of ID Canada and, in spite of his age, has a long online history of promoting racism and violence through Stormfront and other social media:

The second individual, despite not getting a clear look at his face, is believed to be Mark Stewart:

We need to be aware of the activities of such groups as ID Canada who, for example, continue to place their stickers in public places in cities where they have members and supporters in an effort to grow their numbers. However we have to be even more concerned that so-called mainstream political parties are trying to stoke the artificial "white anxiety" fears of some Canadians in a cynical effort to gain real power:

Maxime Bernier has always been quite popular amongst members of the far-right whom this blog keeps an eye on. Prior to the disastrous WCAI rally in Toronto, Ronny Cameron and Proud Boy member Tim Kelly spoke well of him while trashing Andrew Scheer who defeated Bernier in the Tory leadership race:

The following Sunday, Bernier endeared himself to the far-right even more when he decided to dig up Kellie Leitch's play list:

Islamophobe Rally In Nathan Phillips Square Updates

Well, we're 20 minutes in right now and here is what we have.

Despite the WCAI cancelling because someone hurt Joey Deluca's feelings, an estimated 500 counter-protesters arrived to show the Islamophobes, antisemites, and racists that they aren't welcome in the city. This photo is from about 10 or 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the rally:

And here is what showed up:

Wow... even if more do show up, what a pathetic scene.

It looks like the counter-protesters are enjoying themselves as well:

On the other side, the fascists are feeling a bit uneasy:

I know you all will be shocked, but it appears that "No Show" Goudreau once again did not show.

I suspect though that the counter-protesters aren't very concerned about Sandra and Ed showing up:

While all of this was going on Sandra, Ed, and the very few other Islamophobes fled into a building because people were saying mean things to them:

And then this happened:

In the meantime, Sandra is having a hissy fit and her fellow Islamophobes are engaging in conspiracy theories while endorsing Faith Goldy for mayor believing that she and Doug Ford have control over Canadian immigration policies.:

Now that THAT is all over....

As things appear to have settled down, I'm going to go out for a while. If anything happens between now and my return I'll be sure to update the blog.

In the meantime, don't give away the homeworld.

UPDATE 1: Far-right racist demonstration in Toronto a complete failure
Anti-racists reclaim Nathan Phillips Square from fascists and Islamophobes
Toronto, Saturday, August 11, 2018 -- Hundreds of anti-racists gathered at Nathan Phillips Square in downtown Toronto in anticipation of a possible far-right racist rally. The Worldwide Coalition Against Islam (WCAI) had publicly promised a large demonstration on the anniversary of the Charlottesville 2017 Unite The Right demonstration which resulted in the killing of anti-racist Heather Heyer by a neo-Nazi protester.
However, due to a combination of infighting and fear of a concerted anti-fascist counter-demo, the WCAI announced a cancellation of their demo. Some of these far-right boneheads wanted to concentrate on hating just Muslims, while others wanted a big tent racist approach, to include open hatred of Jews, refugees and other targeted groups.
More details of the far-right in-fighting is described in these reports by Anti-Racist Canada:

In a blatant lie, the WCAI organizers tried to claim they were simply "postponing" their demonstration due to a Bollywood festival in the square. There was no scheduled festival, although the many South Asian anti-racists present for the demo had a great time speculating about possible anti-racist Bollywood dance routines and song lyrics (all involving Shah Rukh Khan for some reason).
At the high-point of the anti-racist demo, upwards of 300 people had gathered in the square, ready to confront and chase away any racists and Islamophobes who were promising to show up, despite the official cancellation.
There were random far-right people who showed up, in groups of 1 or 2, who were confronted and chased away. And, the publicity-seeking Islamophobe, Sandra Solomon, made literally a 3-second appearance with two supporters, before running away in fear of the protesters.
Dozens of Toronto police, likely over 100, mobilized to protect an empty protest zone intended for the racists who might show up. That did not prevent the police from attacking protesters, including the arrest of at least one comrade, as well as an attempted dispersal by police horses.
Nonetheless, the spirit of the anti-racist protesters -- which included people who traveled from Montreal, Ottawa, Kingston, Hamilton and beyond -- was determined and exuberant. In the past year there have been at least six small far-right gatherings in Toronto's iconic Nathan Phillips Square (always confronted by anti-racists) and today's anti-racist mobilization was widely acknowledged to be the largest so far.
Today's protest in Toronto was also a tangible gesture of solidarity and support for anti-racist/anti-fascist comrades mobilizing in both Charlottesville and Washington this weekend against the racist alt-right.

UPDATE 2: Evidently Sandra Solomon's group wasn't the only one that showed up. This guy for example:

We later learned what might be the name of this person:

Slawomir Przeczek

However they were just as ineffective as Solomon.

WCAI Hoping For Charlottesville North

The date of the planned Worldwide Coalition Against Islam rally is certainly not a coincidence as it coincides with the one year anniversary of the Charlottesville "Unite the Right" rally. The event was initially made infamous by the scene of white supremacists walking through the streets of the city chanting "Jews will not replace us" while carrying tiki torches:

It is this image that Joey Deluca, founder of the white supremacist and Islamophobic WCAI, said he would like to recreate in the streets of Toronto during an interview with "white nationalist" Ronny Cameron earlier this week:
After the rally, we were thinking like, it’d be pretty cool if we all marched through Toronto and maybe got some torches and just marched through after, right? And make a statement. Because nobody’s done that, right? I mean – and that’s why we need to do stuff like that.

I'm sure that Deluca is referring to torches never being used in Canadian far-right events, but even here he's wrong:

Members of the Ku Klux Klan set fire to a cross at a ceremony at Stave Lake near Vancouver in June 1981.

This shouldn't be surprising as Joey, known members of the WCAI, and other self-proclaimed "patriot" (read: racist) groups in Canada have been drawn to the spectacle that was Charlottesville, in particular the images resulting from the murder of an anti-racist protester as a car driven my a white supremacist plowed into the crowd of counter-protesters:
The day this tragedy occurred, WCAI vice-president Jesse Wielenga posted a video promoting upcoming WCAI events. One of those events, alluded to by Deluca in his interview with Cameron, was a WCAI rally in Vancouver that ultimately failed badly. In the video Wielenaga laughs about the murder and encourages others to do the same until he seems to realize that he has said something that would be illegal and he tries to walk it back:

Wielenga was certainly not alone in encouraging and/or minimizing murder. Deluca, as well as Cameron and neo-Nazi Kevin Goudreau who both plan on participating in the Toronto rally on August 11, celebrated the murder of Heather Heyer:

Much of this can be found in ARC's articles detailing the Canadian far-right reaction to Charlottesville:

As mentioned earlier in this article, Deluca was interviewed about what the WCAI was about and what the plans were for the rally. I've taken the time to cut the audio into bite-sized segments while a friend created a transcript of key points. However before I start I should mention here that all of what you are all about to read and hear is Proud Boy approved:

That Jones would use the image of a murdered child for his profile photo to try to make a cheap
political point says all that really needs to be said about the man's sense of decency.

But remember, the Proud Boys deny they're racists or antisemites.

And remember as you listen to these excerpts that the real danger that Muslims pose are to mediocre chicken restaurants and primary school politics!

Anywho....

Regarding the rally itself and specifically why he decided on Toronto, Deluca says the following:
Our logo is a picture of a Muslim getting the boot the hell out of the country. I mean, we can’t get any more straightforward with our message than that.
